Great Stay! We had a really great stay in Johnstown. It was a little ways off the highway but we were pleasantly surprised when we got there and found such lovely grounds and a nice outdoor pool. It was pet friendly with so much space and walking paths for dogs. The room was comfortable and the staff were nice.

We thought that room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of room for two of us. We had the breakfast which was your basic.breakfast. Bagels, muffins, granola bars, cookies, yogurt, coffee and tea. The only things that we could think of that we needed was jelly and cream cheese for the bagels. Everything prepackaged. The staff was friendly.

The rooms are clean and spacious enough for our needs. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Most importantly, when I realized an hour after I had checked out that I was missing my cell phone, the housekeeping staff checked the room, and then Sue at the front desk went up to the room several times, having me call the phone till she found it blended into the carpeting next to the bed. She really went above and beyond! Thank you.

I stayed for 1 night in 2024 September as I biked from Buffalo to Albany, NY. My previous reviews of hotels have not gotten many likes so I'm just going to post some photos and a much shorter review. Longer reviews are based on the number of likes previous reviews have gotten. As of September 2024 I’ve made 251 contributions to TripAdvisor, and accumulated 231 helpful votes since March of 2005. The Amsterdam Castle was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was like staying in a modern antique museum. Nigel and his staff do an excellent job. There are no dining options at the castle, but there are within walking distance you just need to plan accordingly. Remember to leave a like if you want more info. - WhosYourBuddy

Everything was great. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The room had a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. I did not use any of the other amenities offered, nor did I have the continental breakfast so I can't speak about those. As a place to lay my head for the night, I couldn't ask for more.
