Hotel under modifications. Staff was not too professional, carrying on private conversation on phone while checking in.

We booked this hotel because we were coming for a family reunion. Our family had booked these rooms for a cheap price. However, I wish we would have stashed a little extra away and stayed somewhere else. It did what it was suppose to, it gave us a place to sleep. However, I have spent at least $30 less at a hotel that provided more. Or at least in a better state. The issues started when we first walked through the door. We tried to check in early and we only got attitude from the front desk person. There was no compromising. When we were finally able to check in they almost weren't able to find our reservation. I had called earlier in the week because I had not gotten a confirmation email and they told me it was under one name, then when I checked in it was under a different name. Once we were in our room, my son was looking around because one time he found a baseball and was excited to keep it, he found a shriveled up old piece of fruit under the bed. I took it down to the front desk and all they could say was ”Eww that is gross. I'm sorry.” We didn't spend much time in our room. The bed was ok but it was moved with the slightest of touch. The breakfast was a joke the next morning. You get what you pay for rings truer here then ever. The elevator scared me to ride. It always felt like it was going to fall off the cords. I would not recommend staying here if you want something more than a cot to sleep on.

The room was large, clean and comfortable, the hotel was new and the breakfast was very good.

I wrote a Google review after staying here, and just now see I did not write one for Tripadvisor. Where to even start? I stayed at over 8 Candlewood Suites from Idaho to West Virginia on my most recent trip across country. I love this chain because of the free laundry, rooms with mini kitchen, and lower cost than most long stay chains. Anyway, this particular location is unequivocally the best of all of them, far and away better than number 2. The size of the lobby, the freshness, the newness, the size of the hallways (well, I stayed on the first floor), the clean laundry room and gym, and the ease of use. Hell, the parking area was even clean and new and fresh. Great location. 5 stars!

1st stay here ever. I stay at many motel/hotels yearly & this location is one of the lowest priced motels in Kearney, but a gem. Extremely clean & bright. The original ”Motel 6” carpets, drapes, bathrooms, lighting & fixtures have been replaced with very nice, modern rooms. Not fancy & only coffee in the morning, but this just became my go-to stop when traveling on I-80 in central Nebraska.
