I was a guest for two nights and would definitely go back. This is a beautifully restored hotel with some vintage feel in the rooms and through the building. It is owned and operated by a fine liberal arts university, Mount Vernon Nazarene University. The bed was good, and the rain shower was fantastic. My only negative was the breakfast was typical with very average offerings - I would have hoped for a more homemade and upscale breakfast even if it cost. Overall though a great stay in a beautiful facility set on the square in a postcard small town setting.

The owner is very attentive and the room facilities are well prepared and clean. Very warm after check-in. A sufficient amount of drinking water and soft tissues were also prepared. If you can clean the tables and chairs in the yard, the green plants will be perfect.

We booked a room last minute for a funeral and didn't expect much, but Comfort Inn delivered plenty!! Sheldon checked us in and displayed his AMAZING customer service skills! Our room was quiet (as can be in a motel), clean and the beds were comfy. We had a huge fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker we never used because the breakfast area was so nice, although small. The indoor pool is nice and clean, but still somewhat cool. I wish they still had the hottub. They are very close to downtown and were remodeling/painting the exterior during our stay. Another feature: room doors are on the inside hallway. Highly recommend.

Hotel was just not very clean. The hall floors looked like they had not been vacuumed in quite some time. There was black mold on the bottom of the shower curtain. My non-smoking room had several cigarette burn holes in the bed covers. It was probably 2nd worst hotel I have stayed in. If my wife would have been travelling with me, I think we would have had to go elsewhere as I don't think she could have stayed there.

The room was clean, the hot water was comfortable, the breakfast tasted good, the sausage, meatloaf and mushroom mud (continued twice) were highly recommended. Quiet, empty, there is a large restaurant next to the hotel (many people drive to eat at night, the last picture), there is a Wal-Mart supermarket in 5-7 minutes across the road, and there is a Hunan restaurant around the map (say it is opened by Fujian people).
The downside is that there are no slippers, hot water and electric kettles (Americans really don't drink hot water), but the restaurant on the first floor has hot water (for tea), it is recommended to bring your own slippers, thermos cups and toothbrushes and toothpaste, the first day to walk barefoot on the bathroom floor is still very cold. Other hotels offer a full set of Dove shower gel shampoo hand sanitizer and body lotion, which are of good quality.
