Our family (35M; 35F; 5 yo; 2 yo) stayed here for four nights. We specifically chose this hotel because of the advertised HEATED pool & water play area for children. We needed a budget family-friendly location which was relatively close to Presque Isle for our mini-vacation. Our room was dated, but standard for what we were paying to stay there. The greatest downfall was the whole reason we booked the hotel; the pool! Had the pool been heated as advertised, we would have been in heaven with our stay. This pool was the absolute coldest pool we have ever encountered in a hotel (colder than Lake Erie & an unheated outdoor pool we went to during our stay in the area). We asked the front desk if the pool was in fact heated, & the gentleman there flat out stated, “no”. Why advertise for a HEATED pool if the pool feels like ice & is NOT heated?! We were incredibly disappointed in the false advertisement because we would have looked elsewhere had we known! Regardless, we stayed & did enjoy the hot tub available there as well. Overall, the hotel has potential to be very nice (needs a renovation), but we will not be staying there again.
The room was clean, beds were nice but the bathroom had a funky odor. We couldn't decide if it was from the fan in the ceiling or the water. The room needed some fresh paint on the ceiling (it was chipping) and in the bathroom. Our tv was older than our kids and we only got about 5 channels, but they had HBO. Some of the other rooms were open and my family checked them out and they appeared to be much nicer and had new flat screen tv's. The breakfast is packaged honey buns, bananas, yogurt, juice and coffee. Nothing fancy, but enough to eat. My only real complaint - they allow pets which is a bonus for those traveling with them, but they need to keep in mind of putting the people with pets away from the guests without them. Both mornings we woke up very early to a very large dog barking. Very annoying! Overall, I would for sure stay here again and would be asking for a newer room and hope the funky smell was gone and had a newer tv with more viewing options.

This hotel is very clean throughout and is in a nice scenic location. The breakfast area is quite small but had an excellent selection with something for all five in our party. There were two significant surprises/disappointments for our family of five adults. The ”Fitness Room” and missing hot tub. You will see in the hotel's website photos a hot tub by the pool and in the fitness closet, I mean room, a rack of free weights, treadmill and recumbent bike. Well, this room is tiny and also houses the washer and dryer. It is clearly not a fitness room but more like a small utility room. There is no bike and the treadmill didn't work. They are 'waiting for parts.” All that remained was a rack of weights and a small bench in the middle. Did I mention the room is tiny? I realize many people may not care about these items, but when you are an active family and expecting to be able to workout while away, and specifically pick a hotel that has fitness facilities, it is quite a let down. Other than that and the hot tub, it was a very nice place to stay.

Nice clean basic room, nobody answers the desk phone. No cups in room, no soap in room. Room is not made up and towels are not changed out. Plenty of parking. Was a good location for us near our daughter. Wendy’s is the only nearby restaurant in the area
