I had such a great experience at the Doubletree by Hilton at Laurel! My room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The service was top notch! Natasha took really good care to answer my questions and made sure my stay was amazing! Always a smiling face and very professional! I love great customer service so will definitely be back!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is our second stay at this facility and we will definitely be staying at this location for our next visit to the area. The hotel had several large groups during our stay and the staff were tending the desk while others were delivering toweling to guestrooms. Jason was the first staff member we met at check in. He was very attentive and even though people were crowding the desk making demands, he never waivered in his professional and pleasing manner assuring the other guests he would be with them as soon as he had taken care of me. (Some of the guest could have taken a lesson from the staff in how to treat people) Our next encounter was the following morning with Heather at breakfast. Once again large groups do not seem to phase the staff here at this location. Keeping everything stocked and tables wiped was done with fluidity and ease. The morning of our check out we had the pleasure of speaking with Tevin and Evelyn two more exceptional staff members who had taken the time to engage in conversation and insure that our stay was a pleasant one. As a former IHG manager for 24 years you can have the newest building, the most amenities and more to offer your guest, but if you do not have the right staff those things will not matter. Although the staff are customer focused, the maintenance and cleanliness of the building is much to be desired. Upon checking in and getting settled in my room (room 529) a mouse ran across the floor. After calling the front desk, Marie was very prompt to assist, upgraded and moved my room without hesitation. When she arrived to help remove the mouse we noticed a mouse trap under the radiator, indicating a known problem. Additionally there was hair in the shower and what seemed to be a ***** hair on one of the face towels. Room 2 had a stink bug. Not the biggest deal, but unsettling to say the least. If it wasn't for Marie's prompt response and willingness to accommodate I would have given 1 star.

On the outside it is not inspiring. There is construction going on and it's tucked in between like a car dealership and other non-hotel businesses. I was worried as I drove up. But inside, it's its own little world. It is EXTREMELY clean. The breakfast was actually satisfying and the staff were friendly. The room was great. The only thing I would like to see is, as they replace their mini-fridges, that they use ones that have a separate freezer compartment. We had some frozen things we wanted to stay frozen, and the back wall of the mini-fridge was not up to the task. We slept great and it was conveniently located for where we needed to be. Very fair pricing as well.

It's rare I come across a hotel where I not only vow to never return, but will go out of my way to warn others to not even consider staying there. My wife and I pulled up to the main entrance, my wife needed to use the restroom so she entered the hotel while I parked the car to let our dog out for relief before we checked in. My wife asked the front desk clerk where the restroom was located and was immediately peppered with questions about if she was a guest (she told her we were going to be checking in - but she needed to use the restroom NOW), the clerk wanted the confirmation number, etc., and treated her like she was some vagrant. No smiles, no professionalism, just a mean, stern challenge if she should even be there or not. She returned to the car a few minutes later in tears telling me of the treatment she had just received. Obviously, we did not stay there. If management wants to review any security video of the incident, this took place on April 4th @ 1pm. I will be writing to Choice Hotels as well regarding this incident. Not only will we not give this hotel any future consideration, but the bad taste this awful experience left us has tainted any thought of staying at any Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, etc., in the future (we're retired, travel a LOT, and stay several nights over the year in hotels such as these). I read some of the other reviews of this place. Ownership, management, etc., needs to seriously evaluate their concept of ”hospitality”. To each their own, but be WARNED about staying at this place.
