Stayed here many times. This time well to start wi-if. Shows you full bars but a speed test about 1.97 down, god that's almost like dial-up. I found a cable in the little office area there jacked in you almost 100 down a huge difference. The desk crew has no clue. The service was so slow that I couldn't get OneNote to Sync. Now on this trip, we have been at a bunch of Holiday Inns in different states. Here for some crazy reason, they decided to put a table across the breakfast area so you can't go in and they have a person getting you the food. What a mess, in the others, walk in with a mask on and get your food. Here stand in 10 person line waiting for one person to get food, some with masks and some not. About 1 am there was a noise that sounded like someone using a hammer drill. I don't know if it was a water pipe, but woke us up it was that loud. I now have mixed feelings about recommending this hotel. The other times in the past years were fine, but this time between the noise, internet and food area it wasn't a great experience.

The modern hotel is well maintained and is situated close to Interstate 77. Good sized bedroom with new furniture. Loads of parking close to the hotel. The reception was welcoming. In general, a good find and I recommend the place.

We stayed here on our way to the East coast. We got in late but there was a friendly employee at the desk and I was able to check in quickly (used my AAA discount). The rooms do face directly outside but the noise when we stayed was minimal. The room was clean and neat, shower maybe needs re coated but we did not use it. On the way out we grabbed the continental breakfast and we’re on our way! We would have no problem staying again if back in the area.

Overall stay was good. Room is nice and clean. No carpet was a plus. Bed very comfortable. Fridge and microwave in room. Only negative we were unaware you could not leave pets unattended in room. Make sure to read entire pet policy. We would stay again.

My husband and I had a good stay. Trucker friendly so awesome. The room was very clean and quite. The front desk lady that checked us in she is so sweet. We will definitely go back. Thank you for a quite comfy stay.

Needed a place for the night and showed up and got checked in extremely quickly. Desk person was friendly and efficient. Plenty of luggage carts. Good breakfast. Lots of warm and cold options. Very spacious dining area. Fitness room had a couple of treadmills, elliptical, and recumbent bike - all Precor I believe. Also full rack of dumbbells to 50 lbs. Not the biggest room, but probably enough to do all of your exercises even with aerobic machines going. Indoor pool and room was very warm. Great pressure on the jets in the hot tub. No freezer in the room refrigerator. Will definitely consider this Hampton next time we're visiting Galax.
