York North

We decided to have a stop over half way on our journey to Scotland and chose a day in York. We have previously used Premier Inn and found them to be comfortable and reasonably priced. The North York wasn't far from the city and within walking distance of a Park and Ride. The hotel has plenty of parking and is adjacent to a pub where we had an evening drink, this was full of diners, but it was Father's Day. The hotel room was as we had expected with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee making, clean shower room etc. We had pre ordered a full breakfast in the hotel there was a large choice of hot and cold items. We would recommend this hotel, and so far, haven’t been disappointed with any of the Premier Inns we have stayed in.

Stayed at the hotel as I had surgery at Clifton Park Hospital the next day. The room was comfortable, clean and the service was excellent. There is an excellent pub on the doorstep if required. location is about a half hour walk from the centre of York so it's a good option for tourist trips if mobility isn't an issue.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times now. It is a good location , very good value for money and the Doormouse pub next door is excellent.

This is an extremely disappointing Premier Inn. From the driveway into the car park I was already wary. The reception was poor and the room not very clean. The bedding felt damp. Then the eatery/pub place attached was even worse. Dirty, worn and full of tradesmen who were using language better suited to dockers.

Overnight stay for my brother's funeral. Staff were excellent, especially Caitlin who left a lovely note outside our room. Little gestures mean a lot.

For a good nights sleep, at reasonable cost, you can’t beat a Premier Inn. We always use them on our trips away. York North was no different. Friendly reception, free parking and free WiFi (ok a little slow but can be upgraded). Coffee/tea making facilities in the room with ample replacements at reception should you run out. Perfect. Another positive is on-site breakfast restaurant. All you can eat cooked breakfast, and it’s delicious. The young lady at breakfast was a ray of sunshine to start the day off. Always smiling. Lovely stay at another perfect Premier Inn. The only slight, very slight, negative was the room being much smaller than any room we have had on previous occasions. This was made up by having a walk-in shower. As you get older it gets more difficult stepping over a bath.

From the moment we arrived, the service was quality. The staff couldn’t help you enough. Even came up after checking in with chocolate bars, paper and crayons for my child. Breakfast was flawless.

This hotel was a disappointment and the first time in a Premier Inn I’ve woken up with a back ache. The bed clearly needs replacing. The cooked breakfast is not worth the money, some elements overcooked, some undercooked. Looking at other diners this was the experience of all with a lot of wasted food

We had a lovely stay at this premier inn. The room was clean and well maintained. The parking is directly outside the hotel and free for guests. It is located in a great area, just outside of the city in a lovely quiet area. The staff were polite and welcoming.
