We spent three wonderful nights at Urban House Meininger this March 2024. The twin room we had was on the small side (about 20 sqm.) but was comfortable enough for the duration of our stay. This is a no-frills hostel -- there's no TV or fridge, but you got a warm bed, a clothes rack, and a private shower. The staff were friendly, approachable and hepful. There's a bar (where they host karaoke nights), a restaurant, a shared kitchen and even a swanky cinema room. Overall, Urban House has a modern vibe that will appeal to both backpackers and family travelers. In a frightfully expensive city such as Copenhagen, this is a sensible choice.

I've booked a double room for single use trusting in the pictures on the hotels website and the almost enthousiastic reviews. What was provided was a room with a bed and a shelve and nothing else. The room is so small that the bathroom door can't be opened completely and the showercurtain has definitively seen better days. Bathroom smells wet. Breakfast? Yes, there is one. Very limited amount of seats. And, despite the fact that Copenhagen is expensive: when paying almost 120 € per night I expect that dishes don't have to be returned and sorted by the guests.

Perfect for our Eurovision trip. A simple, cool hotel, with friendly hostel vibes. A games room, a lounge, nice bar, where they kindly showed the Eurovision Song Contest. The rooms were clean with private bathroom. No frills (no fridge or kettle - we took our own), but perfect for our requirements. 2 mins walk to the main train station. Large lockers to store our suitcases on the final day (approx £3.50 for up to 6 hours). Friendly, helpful staff. Tak!

The poorest value for money I've got during all the decades of travel done across the globe. Luxury hotel price, hostel quality. Front desk guy doing checkin was rude and unprofessional. Copenhagen is a nice city but this hotel did its u**ost to ruin the long awaited experience.

We stayed here as a couple for three nights. The check-in, luggage storage, and daily breakfast made it an easy experience from start to finish. It was walkable to lots of destinations, and definitely walkable to any transport spots that get you to the places farther away.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and had a great stay. Out private room was a good size and clean. It’s in a great location, being walking distance to the meat packing district and train station. There was a good a**osphere in the bar at night and the breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

This was perfect for what we needed. Beds were comfy, staff were helpful and the location is ideal being right next to the train station. The bar is good fun with a great a**osphere and the prices are really good considering what you do get compared with other hostels. Definitely recommend

I would recommend staying here for the price as it’s very reasonable, due to other accommodation in Copenhagen being so expensive. However, you pay for what you get with it - it’s a very basic room and the staff aren’t the most friendly. However, the location is good and it’s very well priced, also looks to have a lot of events/entertainment on in the bar of the hostel which is cool.

Really impressed with this place. It was the first time I had ever stayed in a “hostel” but found it to be better than quite a few “hotels” I have stayed in. Comfy bed, friendly staff and a decent bar. Most importantly it’s really easy to find given its proximity to the Central Station. This was a life saver as I went exploring shortly after checking in and got a bit lost, and quickly found that all the metro lines do run through the central station making it easy to get back to home to refind your barings and go out exploring again.
