We stayed two nights, the location was beautiful and in the countryside. The stable house was clean and had everything we needed for self catering. (The breakfast was not available for us.). The only issue we had is what’s I am assuming was the furnace or generator behind a closet door in the bathroom was putting off a large amount of exhaust that came into the bedroom. We could smell the exhaust when the heater or hot water was on. In the mornings when we would wake up, it was very strong smelling and I had a headache and sore throat from breathing it all night. I would recommend some venting and I don’t think anyone would have this issue staying up at the main house.

The cannaway house was a really good experience. The room is very confortable , clean and spacious. We were in the family room . The environment is so beautiful, you are in the countryside whith pony all around . The host are very kind , discreet but effective ! . The breakfast was incredible . A good stay for us !!!

Very picturesque location - surrounded by fields with horses and pasture. Early morning walks around the grounds were nice - saw lots of rabbits and birds. Made friends with the horses. Quiet area, except for the thin walls that allowed us to hear our neighbors at night. Bed was lumpy and soft but adequate. Room overlooked the yard where a bright light was on all night, making it hard to sleep for one of us. Room was a bit hot as we couldn't open the windows very far. A room on the front of the building might be better. Nice tea service available to all guests in the hallway. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices and plenty of food! No real interaction with hosts which was fine but it felt more like an inn/hotel rather than a B&B.

Just a short drive from Macroom and not far from Cork, is this amazing House nestled in the quiet countryside. Easy to find, just follow the signs, and in big grounds with plenty of parking. We had two rooms booked for two couples and both were very comfortable, clean and quiet. The owners are lovely people who couldn't do enough for us, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very good with plenty of variety. There is also a separate bar / games room with an honesty bar, small snooker table, darts board and tv, a great place to relax at the end of a long day. We stayed for three nights and had a very relaxed and enjoyable stay - fully recommended.

Our only regret is that we only stayed one night! It’s a beautiful home, in a stunning setting, real country house vibes with big-comfortable beds, huge bedrooms, perfectly functioning heating and extremely nice hosts. I’d recommend at least a two-night stay to take the most of out it.

The family really make you feel welcome and we really enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave. A lovely spacious and quiet house with great views over the surrounding countryside. Ideal location for visiting SW Ireland Killarney only 45 min drive away with its lovely national park. Good varied and substantial breakfast no restaurant on site but lots of eating places a short drive away. Nice annex on house for guests to read books or play pool and have a pint of guiness . The gardens surrounding the house have a play area for children and some interesting statues. Would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

Beautiful location. Very good accomodation and breakfast. We stayed in the family room: only inconvenient was that private bathroom was outside the room. Nice and friendly. Not so far from Cork airport. To be recommended for starting ring of Kerry tour

A gorgeous restoration of an amazing property. Totally authentic hosts, and we enjoyed having a beer with Francis in the barn converted into a bar. Breakfast was fab and as a rural location, our motorbikes were safe. So pleased we found this place…

Our favorite lodgings of the entire trip! The location is magical and the room was quite large and comfortable for the three of us. Waking up to the horses outside our window was so peaceful. Quiet room, enormous bathroom, charming host and hostess. The breakfasts were fabulous with several choices using locally sourced ingredients. The restored home is grand and the grounds lovely to explore. And a shout out to the friendly farm dog! I would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to experience the countryside of Ireland. It is within easy driving distance to many sites but located outside the hustle of the city.
