Hotel la Tavola Rotonda

The hotel is indeed, as many other people have commented, in need of maintenance. The potential is certainly there but the upkeep is quite poor. We had a large, superior room which is quite basic. With a little paint and some new furniture it could be so much better. It feels as if it was just left in the current state without having any work done for decades. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning certainly worked very well. The bathroom was spacious but needs a good scrub. The toiletries were the cheapest possible and only had soap and shower gel. The breakfast had a lot of sweet pastries so if you’re trying to maintain a somewhat healthy diet, it’ll be nearly impossible. The selection was also very inconsistent so on some morning they had boiled eggs and on others they didn’t. 90% of the food available was sweet. The pool area is also very basic. It was, however, clean and had a bar where you can buy drinks, ice cream and lunch. We ordered two poke bowls, 15e each which were very disappointing so definitely not recommended. The pool is also heavily used by people who are not staying at the hotel. On the weekend, when they had a lot of external visitors, they point you a sun lounger so you are not able to choose one yourself. This was very confusing as we were the 1st ones by the pool that day. We did manage to agree on where we wanted to stay but it did feel very strange that you don’t have any say in where you want to stay by the pool. You get pool towels from the reception which are not changed so we had to use the same towels for three days. The general look and feel of the hotel is quite poor, unfortunately. There’s no consistency and everything is rusty and in need of maintenance. We didn’t eat at the restaurant (there are some very nice options nearby) because of our poor experience with the breakfast and the poke bowls.

A beautiful very old castle. Rooms a little tired and could do with a little bit of TLC. But would not put us off recommending this hotel. Dinner was very tasty (although not the cheapest). Hotel staff are helpful. The historical pictures around the hotel are so interesting. Definitely worth a visit.

We were visiting nearby Piacenza but rather than stay in the town saw this hotel and decided to stay with you as you had a spa and a restaurant which looked very nice even though it was much higher priced than staying in Piacenza However on arrival we were told these were closed and not available, the restaurant was closed as the staff were on holiday. This was not mentioned at the time of booking or on your website – for us this is the reason why we booked with the hotel for a nice weekend get away. In addition the hotel rooms were far from ideal for the price you charge, the fridges do not work properly and are in a poor state of repair, plus the shower door in one room fell off, on arrival the toilet needed fixing before use and there is bird mess and the state of your hotel is ran down and in tardy. If the hotel is unable to run a restaurant and spa, they should not advertise it, if they do not have sufficient staff due to summer to properly maintain the hotel they should close for summer and re-open when you have sufficient staff. We asked the front desk to speak to the management but we were told there were on holiday too and there was not way of speaking to anyone. This is a very poor state and really indicates they are happy to take the money from people without offering the service. We could have stayed in Piacenza at a good hotel for around 100 Euro, instead we paid significantly more for a very poor experience with management who don't seem to care much. We contacted management during and after our stay to raise our concerns BU THEY JUST IGNORED US. In summary - over priced - no advertised facilities available - dirty and in dis-repair - management unavailable at and after the hotel stay

Nella campagna piacentina si erge un gran casolare castello tipico in mattoni rossi. Ristorante ricavato e arredato a tema medievale! Più stanzoni riservati e silenziosi! Menu di rispetto tradizione: dal pane ed entre’, primi sperimentali e gnocchi ripieni in salsa di parmigiano. Secondi dove spicca lo stracotto. Cantina vini ampia e servizio rispettoso. Costi tantino su ma giustificati dalla particolare cura. Promozioni convenienti.

Struttura situata a pochi km da Piacenza, comoda da raggiungere e con un parcheggio molto capiente Struttura molto caratteristica, soggiornare in un castello per un weekend romantico è molto suggestivo, struttura curata e personale gentilissimo Ottima cucina del territorio rivisitata, con una cantina ben fornita Il fiore all'occhiello è sicuramente la piccola spa con idromassaggio, sauna e zona relax , un ora e mezza tutta a nostra disposizione Da non dimenticare che dispone anche la piscina esterna Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo Io e mia moglie Stefania abbiamo trascorso un weekend da favola, da rifare sicuramente, consiglio a tutti Andrea

Hotel situato all' interno di una dimora storica di grande pregio. Camera molto spaziosa e arredata in modo confortevole. Molto interessante la possibilità di cenare nel ristorante posto al piano terra che è stata una scoperta davvero gradita e di vera eccellenza. Complimenti!

La location è molto suggestiva e romantica, si tratta di un castello medievale ristrutturato con ampie sale arredate in modo caldo e accogliente. Il servizio è impeccabile, attenti e precisi i camerieri e il maitre è molto disponibile, preparato e di esperienza. La cucina è una rivisitazione di quella tradizionale, con materie prime di qualità, cucinate con creatività e grande cura dei dettagli. Il prezzo è adeguato, considerando la qualità dei prodotti e del servizio. In due abbiamo optato per il menù degustazione di terra, abbondante e vario e abbiamo speso 65 euro a persona comprese le bevande ( vino e acqua ).Direi consigliatissi

Il ristorante è ubicato su una strada secondaroa, tra Parma e Piacenza, il prezzo medio per il ristorante invece circa 40 €. Il parcheggio è molto ampio, quindi non vi sono difficoltà nel trovare posto. Il ristorante è ubicato all'interno di un bellissimo castello medievale, ha al suo interno diverse sale , godendo di una vista spettacolare sull'interno dei giardini Riscontra un carattere molto elegante, curato nel minimo dettaglio, con una cantina vini smisurata e stupenda, ogni sala è stata mantenuta con il proprio stile medievale. La clientela, essendo un ristorante di questo tipo, è abbastanza omogenea, prediletto soprattutto da famiglie, coppie, persone d'affari o da chi ricerca la buona cucina, il giusto prezzo, e la tranquillità. L'accoglienza è molto formale, professionale, cercando di far percepire l'alto livello culinario e del servizio ! Il personale è molto disponibile, professionale e cordiale, soprattutto attento alle necessità, il maitre è un ottimo sommelier e soprattutto un grande conoscitore di vini del mondo con una grande esperienza alle spalle. Il Menu è cartaceo, ben strutturato, con una discreta varietà di piatti offerti, offrendo abbinamenti degni di un ristorante stellato. I prezzi per le singole pietanze, sono addirittura sotto alla media nonostante la qualità proposta. La cucina è tipica Italiana ma rivisitata in una chiave innovativa, la materia prima è di ottima qualità, i piatti ben serviti, ben impiattati e molto curati nel dettaglio visivo e nel gusto. Viene abbandonata l'idea della cucina tradizionale dine a se stessa, proponendo piatti che offrono una vera e propria esperienza gustativa, ma soprattutto viene sempre rispettata la materia prima che viene esaltata e mai coperta. La presentazione è artistica, gradevole e molto curata, la temperatura dei piatti e delle pietanze viene rispettata mentre il livello della cucina è veramente notevole. La cosa che piu' ho apprezzato è quel'ambiente caldo che si crea, nonostante si sia in un castello, quell'a**osfera di un tempo mista alla cucina moderna. Abbiamo preso ovviamente i piatti tipici, notando da subito l'alto livello della cucina proposta. Lo chef è passato da un antipasto con Foie Gras servito in due modi dicersi, a dei taglioni con ragu bianco di agnello, per arrivare ad una tagliata in CBT con salsa alla zucca e una tartare di manzo con una sferificazione di tartufo. Tutto era sempolicemente perfetto, cotto alla perfezione, rispettato la natura della material prima con sapori ben definiti che riportano ad una buona qualità. Il locale presenta una "sterpitosa" cantina vini tra i quali scegliere, provenienti da tutto il mondo. Ho conosciuto lo staff e lo chef e mi sono accorto che era una persona molto umile ma con una grandissima passione. Questa è una delle poche volte nelle quali non ho molto da aggiungere nè criticare, se non fare una menzione per una stella Michelin.
