Apartamentos Parque Carolina

After reading some of the previous reviews I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We had an issue with the booking agent and despite it not being the responsibility of the accommodation they could not have been more helpful. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and happy. The place was so clean and well maintained.

There was no manager/receptionist to meet me on arrival despite information saying the reception was open until 23hrs - I never saw the reception staff over my ten day stay! Very clean excellent cleaning staff. Difficult parking especially late in the evening. Very thin walls and floors - quite noisy at times.

This has to be the worst apt i have rented in selicio. On arrival no soap or shower gels in shower room. No micowave. No diswasher brush or sponge or washing up liquid or cleaning liquids. A safe that does not work. No iron or ironing board. No spare towels. Noise from upstairs as moving furnature. Noise from corridor people passing. No balcony viiew. And a balcony that was dirty. Many things you would normally expect to have when renting a holiday apartment and not expensive. No rubbish bags

This wasn’t our first choice of accommodation, we had booked Laguna 11 through OTB however they overbooked and left us last minute with very few options, on their website this option seemed to be the best of the three they offered us !! How wrong was I ? Would hate to imagine what the other places were like Arrived at lunchtime locked out no staff around and already in a stressed out mood after a eventful flight didn’t notice the sheet of paper on the front door with names on it it’s not particularly large or very obvious Someone let us into reception and after about a half hour wandering around found a cleaner who was able to get us our keys and show us to the room So the room !! Furniture is very dated, the sofa bed by far needs put in the dump my daughter ended up using the mattress on the floor the whole holiday. The bathroom had a lot of stains and marks over the units, there was dirt on the tiles behind the sink, the shower head was broken and any hot water was only available for one out the three of us staying there so cold showers/baths all round. Tv wasn’t working, Wi-Fi had to keep getting reset btw you have to climb on top of a chair and reset the box on top of kitchen cupboards, there was no kettle or toaster, took three days for them to supply any, cooker didn’t work no oven ! Beds weren’t even proper single beds more like camp beds and kept moving ever time you turned over at night, the mattresses were solid and barely managed a full nights sleep the whole week. No air con the rooms were warm had to leave window open and between kids cats and neighbours making noise till 2am it’s not ideal. Locked ourselves out the first night !! No reception ! Whoever was on the other end of phone kept hanging up on us and OTB took till 11am to contact me next morning to ask if we were ok was phoning them at 10pm !! Fortunately my daughter remembered leaving the door slightly ajar so she jumped a wall and borrowed someone’s broom from Their terrace and managed to use the brush through the terrace gate to reach the keys on the unit and drag them to the door ended up separating f the keys to avoid future mishaps The pool was cold and small and wasn’t the cleanest full of grit and sand in the bottom, no smell of chemicals at all not sure there was a cleaning protocol tbh Good points !! The bus stop was right outside the 468 was regular into los Cristianos, las Américas and las Galletas

Very basic and simple, but really clean. Friendly staff members and owner. Good location if you like scuba diving and snorkelling and enjoy a calmer area! Bus stop right in front of the hotel so you can get around easy. Good restaurants and grocery store nearby.

No bedside reading light, no air con. Or fan, no washing items in the kitchenette, no bathroom washing items, & 2 rolls of toilet paper in 8 days, no microwave (despite saying there was one), nobody to give you a key on arrival, just a machine in the wall , nobody @ reception any of the 8 days, despite a nice desk , no cushions or brollies @ the pool,not even to rent.One pillow each (no spares )beds excruciatingly hard, the shower was not even as big as a fridge freezer, therfore the water pushed the light curtain & drenched the floor, the studio was clean, but the landing along the way had not been washed in a very long time, wewere couldn't open the door despite the heat, as either the cockroaches or the cats were walking outside the door, our view was mesh wiring, with a mould of earth & a car parking space (where they managed to find a place among this heap of dug out earth &these were the good points, the lady in the office behind the desk( she wouldn't come out when I visited to ask to be changed, )that was a no no from the grumpy old fella in the office, he was rude &told her in spanish we had sea views.Would I recommend it, no never.

Great, I always go there and have no complains at all. When I see people writing bad news. Silence...Well it' costa del silenzio for a reason and I always found someone at the reception that can help me. The room has always been cleaned...and about children it's not the hotel fault it's people that can't educate their children

The only problem was the lack of air conditioning . The studio was very warm at night when you could not leave the terrsce door open

Got to the apartments (7pm) to see the front doors locked and a note left in the window advising to call a number. Was given a code to unlock some box outside the place. After finally gaining entrance into the building we dropped our things in the room. Room was clean (best part) Had no microwave or toaster as advertised and no reception to take the matter up with. The number no longer answered a call from us. Pans and hob small and a bit of a hassle. Bus stop virtually outside the apartments which will get you to various places such as Los christianos. Never stayed at a place where the receptionist area is constantly closed and no where to speak to staff. Thank goodness we had no major problems in our room.
