We came from the UK and were really looking forward to a once in a lifetime experience of staying in the rainforest for a day. However after arriving were more aware of snakes, huge spiders etc and got wary and worried. Craig the caretaker was really lovely, and was honest regarding possibilities of what might happen and me being pedantic I wanted to know nearest A&E etc in case a snake came into the room, etc (which I believe has never happened in the last 6 months that he’s been there which was reassuring). It’s secluded, you feel you’re in nature, you can hear all the noises at night of birds, animals, frogs, crickets, so perhaps not great if you’re a light sleeper or don’t want that. I’d use insect repellants before entering and around the mosquito nets, as prior to that there were moths, a baby lizard outside our bed, all unusual insects buzzing around. We had a lovely time, played lots of games , drank some wine (we got) and ate in the common area, which was open and felt lively with Craig playing lovely music and his dog Stella who was a star, so friendly loving strokes. There is also a guide who takes you out in the rainforest for a charge at night, which we didn’t do to see cassowary’s and wildlife. ours was the rainforest bungalow and we were there with adult daughter, had 4 bunk beds and a double room, bathroom and was clean.. All in all for one night was a great stay thank you
