Champneys Tring

Lovely, relaxing stay. I haven’t given 5⭐️ because Champneys now charge for lunch when you’re staying overnight which seems a bit odd…and the lunches were always a great social interaction too. I hope they bring it back soon. Overall, the stay was great and facilities work well for me. Staff were very friendly and courteous as always. Particular thanks to Louise in the Terrace Cafe - always cheerful and chatty and always greets you with a smile…great coffee too. Thanks!

Took a solo trip for a business trip and had a surprisingly nice stay. I usually stay in smaller hotels / lodges and don’t often get the whole hotel experience but whilst staying with Tring champneys it felt like such a luxurious getaway. Shoutout to Sophie in the restaurant for looking after me both days i came for breakfast, lovely girl!

I came for a relaxing day with great treatments exquisite food served by lovely Elisabet that also explained each dish and made great recommendations! The spa was well looked after and the blond receptionist was lovelyI will definitely come back! Thank you

We had a lovely holiday weekend at Champneys Tring! Treatment, dinner/breakfast and a bit of shopping, staff were great! Special thanks to Elisabetah ( Apologies if i didn’t spell the name correctly) at breakfast who went the extra mile for us accommodating our diet !

Came here with my daughter we had a lovely time ,came across a lovely lady who was very helpful her name was Elizabeth she was so good nothing was to much trouble ,she is a great asset to your business . We will certainly be returning very soon and maybe bring a few friends with us 😀

Best experience Best food and very good facilities . Liz served us and was very friendly, helpful and informative she provided us with great service, she also advised us on what’s really delicious on menu and me and my friend would definitely come back and hopefully she’ll be on

My mother and I came for a break away to champneys and can honestly say it was one of them most relaxing stay away i’ve been on! The service was exceptional and my waitresses Brooke and Louisa were lovely, they got me everything I asked for and were so polite!

Just come back from a fantastic 2 night stay, we had a lovely time. Our room was very pleasant and comfortable, well equipped, with a nice view of the garden. The food in the restaurant was amazing, and the service was really good - Dan, Steve, Ruby and Charlotte in particular looked after us very well. We loved the spa facilities, although the room the main pool is in could do with a spruce up - perhaps some nice tiles like the laconium! The location is beautiful, we went on a lovely guided woodland walk. Would definitely recommend!

The staff were great, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The fact that the staff were so good is what made me go for 2 stars and not 1. The food was mostly fine, not great but ok. It was seemingly not possible to get a coffee served in the residents lounges during the day. You had to go to the cafe. I had a full body massage with Clare and that was very good. For the rest it was awful. The buildings both inside and out need an upgrade. The place has an uncared for air at best and at worst it needs a total renovation. Chipped, scuffed and peeling paintwork, everywhere. In the area with 2 jacuzzis the metal barrier is badly rusted, the wall tiles badly marked and this type of thing is repeated throughout. But what is worst of all is that the place is just dirty. When we arrived there were dead leaves in the corridor outside our room (they must have blown in when a nearby emergency door was opened) and they were still there when we left. On the afternoon we arrived we went in to one of the lounges, the first area we approached had a dirty table so we moved to another area, but it was the same with all of the tables. When we went to sit in the same area the next afternoon we realised the tables had not been wiped since the previous day, they were still dirty. My wet swimsuit fell off the heated towel rail in our room on to the floor and I had to rewash it as it got covered in dirt and dust from the floor. Black mould in the shower area was really unacceptable. Every loo I went into had an overflowing paper towel bin, no matter the time of day. Carpets were covered in bits, dust and in the time we were there it did not seem that anywhere was hoovered. There were lots of large indoor plants covered in thick dust. Luckily as we are both Vitality Health members we got a big discount on our stay. Had we paid full price we would definitely have been requesting some money back. From experience I can say there are definitely much better spa hotels in the UK than this one.
