Yuntang Luxury Resort Hotel Dali

This is a small bed and breakfast hotel. Actual building is not as impressive as the one shown but room is very clean, services provided are excellent. Breakfast is simple but very good. Laundry is available. Location is accessible by car, it can be slightly noisy at night because live music bars are not far from the hotel.

The location is excellent! I was concerned when walking down the very busy street that there hotel would be loud and a little tough around the edges… I was delighted to find a peaceful and well designed hotel! The room was incredibly spacious and clean. It had a lovely balcony and great facilities including a shower room and full bathtub. The reception team, both in the evening and morning, were a delight and communicated clearly with me through WeChat. I had a vegetarian breakfast which was very good. I added a lot of spice for flavour. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

When I arrived back to the hotel in the afternoon there was construction work taking place and I was unable to return to my room. The two jack hammers were so loud that it was deafening in my room. Even putting in ear plugs was not suitable and the whole room was shaking. All I was told that the construction would finish by 5.30pm and that was that. I was also told that they would not return until 10am the following morning, however at 11pm there was hammering coming from the room below and the noise of people cleaning up loading a truck outside and this continued until 3am. I hardly slept. The noise from the bars and the street is bearable but the what I endured made my stay in Dali memorable for all the wrong reasons. I was promised that there would be no further construction work by the hotel and yet the builders were working through the night. I left around 8.30am next morning and the builders were back. Even without this inconvenience I don't think that this hotel is worth the money they charge. If you are like me and want a quiet hotel then I would not choose this on. Very disappointed with the whole experience. No doubt the hotel will have something to say about my review, however just to remind them I have video of the builders using the jack hammers. This was one of the worst experiences I have had travelling, not just in China but anywhere.

The place is just excellent. The owners and assistants are just gorgeous and helpful. I really hope everyone will try this place out. Location is is within ancient town. It is very crowded with people with cars coming in and out can be havoc. Suggestion to the tourist department is to close the road during night time where all the night life comes alive. But I would like to emphasize that this stay is excellent and I can't pinpoint any faults

The hotel location was superb and service is very good My Wallet was found by car service arranged by the hotel to railway station . Hopefully return to me ASAP . Great oasis location in the middle of Dali's main tourist street.

This hotel is within the ancient town with many bustling shops and restaurants nearby. The interior design of the common areas were stunning and very welcoming. The water pressure in one of the ground floor room was not the best but otherwise the rooms were great. One of the rooms for our group was upgraded into their couple's suite with mezzanine layout which was a lovely surprise and definitely an upgrade. We had breakfast here it was pretty standard but delicious.

The one night stay was great. The hotel is in a great location in the old town, but accessible by car. The hotel is in a quite ally off the main road. The staff in the hotel is very attentive. They checked us in with ease and even bought our luggage to our room. As we left early the next day, they prepared a breakfast package for in our room. We asked if they had toast for breakfast and the team went out and about to buy a nice bread, just for us. The room is amazing, we got an upgrade to their largest room and it is was more then nice. All amenities were profided but there were little touches such as a tea setting, a humidifier to counter the dry air and the towels were of a thick quality that you normally find in luxury hotels. Our one night stay was way to short. Dali and the hotel are worth a visit for a few days. Thank you to the team taking care of us!
