Portakal Hotel is amazing. The staff are all so friendly and treat you like family. Ali in reception is brilliant and Metab (sorry if I agitated the name wrong!!) the manager is so kind. She even came to say goodbye when I left. The breakfasts are the best I’ve had in Turkey….different every day and something for everyone. Big thanks to Zerrin the lovely chef. The pool area is lovely and never a fight for sun beds. I loved the garden by the river. Such a lovely place to relax and watch the boats go by. There is a boat to the beach right by the hotel and a ferry across the river. The only downside is not being able to use a kettle in your room. I tend to wake up early and missed my early morning cuppa, but apart from that, it was all lovely. Thank you to all at Portakal for making my holiday so perfect. See you again next May/June

It's in a very beautiful place. It wasn't bad at breakfast. The workers are giving you answers to all your questions, and we're happy to go back. There is no refrigerator in the rooms, but the store you can buy cold drinks is available just in front of the facility.

The hotel is a small family run business. Alp and his team couldn’t do enough for us. We were waited on hand and foot from the delicious traditional Turkish breakfast (other options were available) until the bar closed late in the evening (premier league football was available which was a bonus for us) The rooms were spotlessly clean with tea and coffee making facilities and a very well stocked mini bar. There was even a pillow menu and room cleaning was available daily if requested. The swimming pool is salt water so no nasty chemical smell and the rocking seats were fantastic when looking for a shady spot. The hotel is just a couple of minutes walk to the centre where there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. We had a brilliant holiday and would definitely recommend.

Gorgeous apartment on the ground floor! Fully equipped with washer and dryer, fridge freezer, air con, sky TV, WiFi, huge double bedroom and large single sofa bed. All cooking equipment you'd need to make a simple meal. Small balcony enough space for 2 to sit out and watch the house chickens scurry about the garden. We only stayed overnight for a very early morning flight so didn't venture further than the fantastic little supermarket almost next door! Superb accommodation for what we needed . We stayed at Konak Su for a week in September, it was lovely. The pool is large and clean, the breakfast was great, the staff are lovely (especially the guy who worked the bar). Its a quiet and relaxing hotel only a 10 minute walk from the main ***** and river. The rooms were fairly small but plenty of room for us as a couple, the beds were firm but comfortable and the bathroom was great with a large shower. There was a fridge in our room that didn't work which was a shame but we didn't really need it, and the wifi didn't work at all while we were there but we were told this was an issue with the wifi in the area. The air con in the rooms was fantastic (and free) however I think it would be helpful if the hotel provided a warm/thick blanket, as it was too cold with the air con on, but still too warm with the 'fan' mode on, and the blanket provided was very thin. It would have been perfect to sleep with the air con on but under thicker blanket/duvet on the bed. Another highlight was the animals, the owners dog Chico was lovely and the family of kittens/cats that frequented the hotel were adorable, we spent much of our time cuddling or playing with the kittens and we miss them dearly!

Perfectly responsive and helpful staff! Excellent service! They were allowed to use the washing machine for free and on the day of departure - already after lunch (after the check-out) bought pizza for the removal - allowed to have lunch at their tables. Step-by-step central embankment. Clean rooms, bed, comfortable beds. Thank you! I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

Clean and friendly. Rooms were bright, nicely decorated, great for what we needed. Comfy beds. Safe £1 per day, aircon included in price. Mosquito screens on patio doors. We had a ground floor room, which gave direct access to the pool. 5 mins to centre. Lovely pool, walk-in, or side steps. There are plenty of sunbeds. Traditional Turkish breakfast, freshly prepared pastries, cereals, egg cheese, and meat. Plenty of choice. Good choice of drinks. Great staff. Would recommend.
