This was the best holiday my husband and I have ever had it was perfect from start to finish. We were treated like royalty off the staff nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The housekeeping were brilliant, the waiters, the reception, the bar staff, the chefs, the food was 5 star it was beautiful. There are not enough words to tell you about our overall experience at this place, the wildlife was spectacular, everything from crocodiles to peacocks, owls, beautiful birds including birds of prey, you didn’t really need to go anywhere although we did have many trips but came back to the water gardens each day. We stayed there for 14 nights and it was the best thing we ever did. If you’re not sure where to stay we can’t recommend this place enough. I have terminal cancer and if I can visit there again before I’m too ill we definitely will. Thankyou to you all for such a wonderful experience with beautiful Sri Lankan people you really are something else ❤️

Mirroring other reviews made, the Water Garden has exceptionally beautiful grounds and this is matched by the quality found in the very well appointment large apartments. The breakfast and evening meals were excellent and the staff are a credit to the hotel, in particular Sashi and Dishan. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a totally relaxing and stunning stay in the area.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Water Garden. The two bedroom villa had plenty of space with its own pool. The food was tasty and was from a set menu, was adapted to suit the guest. The staff were very attentive though did not intrude on privacy. The view from the grounds was fabulous with the Sigiriya rock in the distance. The spa was also delightful where I enjoyed a relaxing massage. Something that stood out in this property is the attention to nature and serene surroundings. Staying in the villas is expensive, but you do get a great experience. A butler assigned to each of the villas is available for the guests. This was our second stay at Water Garden. Would definitely recommend if you are after quiet serenity, privacy and exploring the rock and Minneriya nature reserve.

We had an amazing trip at the Water Gardens. We loved our spacious villa where we could take a dip in the plunge pool and watch a film. Food and service were fantastic and we loved a sun down wet and swim in the infinity pool which was lovely and warm. It is ideally situated for many sites in Sri Lanka and we would highly recommend it. My son said it was the best place we stayed in our adventure in Sri Lanka. One morning we saw a crocodile and the birds including peacocks were spectacular

A beautifully designed property with an amazing staff, located in Sigiriya. This place is like a little slice of paradise tucked away from all the worries of the world. All the villas are tastefully furnished and the property has a fantastic view of the Sigiriya Rick Fortress! The service we received was impeccable. Hands down 10/10 and same goes for food as well for food serving since it was next level. Beautifully presented and the flavors were out of this world.

This has to be the best hotel we have ever stayed at, from the moment we arrived until when we left it was like being in paradise. The welcoming and complimentary massages set the bar high and it was maintained throughout our stay. Firstly the grounds are so well maintained (and with over 135 staff they are constantly refined and perfected!) and a joy to wander around with many peacocks, beautiful fish and even a crocodile basking on an island in the lake. The butlers were exceptional with a big thank you to Sashi for all his help particularly when our daughter was sick to arrange a doctor and also for all of the restaurant food to be provided at our room. The food was exceptional and better than anything else we had sampled not just in Sri Lanka but possibly ever. Even our “selective” children relished the breakfast and dinner time. Huge thanks to the executive chef and all of the restaurant staff for exceptional service - highly recommend the rotti with curry and dahl for breakfast and the curry and rice for dinner which has no less than 12 side dishes that were all amazing. The scallops were also some of the best my wife and I have ever tasted. Ricky the wellbeing expert led amazing daily yoga sessions that we all enjoyed and learnt new techniques. Finally the rooms themselves were unbelievable with exceptionally tasteful design and high quality accessories including some great Nikon binoculars that came in very handy for our safari and the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. If I could live here I would. We will be back!

Water Garden Sigiriya is one of the places I want to go if I want to relax. This is my third time. The water garden hotel has a beautiful environment that makes me feel comfortable. The staff is very friendly. Thank you all for adding joy to my busy life. I will come back to see you

The Water Garden Sigiriya is a visual treat with unparalleled hospitality. We arrived at the resort at about 2000 hours. A very warm welcome followed by a buggy ride to our super luxurious villa complete with a private plunge pool. The villa is designed with such care and its just exquisite! The next morning we woke to the call of a peacock. The property is just stunning and has like a private viewing for the Sigiriya rock. The meals we had were delicious and served with care. Nipun our butler was quick to respond to all requests and extremely knowledgeable. In all our visit was too short. The resort is a destination in itself. A must visit..

The location with the Sigiriya Rock shining in the distance, the beautifully ornamented garden with lakes and lush green vegetation and all crowned by colourful peacocks and other birds, could not be imagined more stunningly magnificent. The personnel was a total match of perfection and quality service. The manager Sagitha did the utmost to satisfy all our wishes, be it installing a new router for our TV to follow the US election or fulfilling my wife’s desire regarding the bathroom or supplying us with other things on our wish list. May I not forget to mention our charming and perfect waiter Sampath at the restaurant for our morning breakfast and our evening meal. He was a real joy. We really enjoyed our stay at Sigiriya Water Garden.
