We had a wonderful time at Thatch Caye for our one year anniversary. Weather was exceptional and our excursions (fly fishing and island crawl) were great! Ritchie and his mate for the island crawl were knowledgeable about the area- had a wonderful time. The staff was kind, flexible, and attentive. Anivar at the Coco Lounge Bar made great rum cocktails. Daniel and Junior kept a great vibe at the Starfish Bar in the afternoons. We also really enjoyed Charles as a server in general, but for our private dinner we had in the little palapa. If you are a massage person- ask for Aimee- she is small, but mighty! The open air massage is a can’t miss. The island dogs- Pico and Marley add so much love to the island. Food was great- we felt it was authentic. We enjoyed Taco Tuesday, the black beans and tostones at breakfast, as well as the fry jacks. We had lots of chicken- all flavored differently- from curry to smoked. While no-see-ums (sand flies) are present, they spray morning and night. They were really only pests at dawn and dusk. The resort had bug spray, but we brought essential oils and bug wipes as well. We stayed in a premier overwater bungalow. Nice and private. Our porch was warmer in the morning, but as the day went on the wind shifts around the island and the afternoon is nice to relax out there. We saw manatees and small rays daily. Bed was super comfortable and we loved waking up to the sunrise.

We really enjoyed our stay at Thatch Caye! We loved the uniqueness and intimacy of the resort and that we got the chance to know some of the staff. Daniel and Junior were a blast behind the bar and Richie and Darvin were super knowledgeable when it came to snorkeling and hunting lobsters. We did 3 separate excursions with them and each one was fantastic. Luis made sure we were welcomed and that all of the logistics ran smoothly for our transfers. And lastly…we loved the dogs, Marley and Pico!

If you want a unique all-inclusive experience then Thatch Caye is the place. It was the most peaceful, fun, and intimate all-inclusive stay my wife and I have ever had. Exceptional staff and I wish I had everyone’s name and hope I spell others correctly but Luis, Anivar, Junior, the chefs, the masseuses, other bartenders, wait staff, boat crews, etc… go out of their way to give you genuine personal service. Luis knows all guests’ names and it is truly an “ask and they will accommodate” relationship. I can go on and on but I’ll just say that Thatch Caye and Belize in general are both on our revisit list!

Simply AMAZING! The hostility started in the airport at Belize City! I had was anxious about the air and boat transfers but couldn't have been easier. Greeted on the other side of customs by Muy'Ono representative and wisked away to paradise. Staff is genuinely nice & attentive. Food was great and all dietary restrictions were met with ease. Drinks were fantastic and Junior is the BEST! Clean bungalows, super comfortable. We are already planning a trip back!

Thatch Caye was absolutely amazing and the staff was fantastic! I love that breakfast, lunch, and dinner was always freshly served and delicious! We did not have any complaints about our stay! Everything was fabulous from the time we arrived by boat until we left by boat.

Thatch Caye is a rustic island resort with the friendliest staff in the world who go out of their way to make you feel like family. The amenities on the island include 3 bars, and a beach area with kayaking, paddle boards, snorkeling, and a Hobi Cat. Lodging ranges from over-water bungalows, to larger multi-story accommodations. The food is fantastic and we had fresh lobster 2 of the 4 nights we were there since we were successful at lobster/crab/fish hunting with sling spears…great fun! The excursions were fantastic with a wide range of activities, but we loved snorkeling on the reef best of all! We will be back!

Thatch Caye surpassed all of our expectations. This place is amazing. The hospitality of the staff is 5-star. They were always going out of their way to help make our trip incredible. The chief did a fantastic job with our numerous food allergies. The food was delicious. The rooms are very nice and air conditioned!! William (general manager) is fantastic. The excursions were great. I highly recommend visiting Thatch Caye. Ask Junior or Don to make you a fresh mango daiquiri!!

Wedding Thanks so much for William, Luis, Shakira and Kam and rest of team members that I didn’t get names for taking good care of us for my lovely wedding. We had such an amazing time, wife was happy so happy wifey, happy life :). Perfect island destination for weddings or any other family event you want to have that’s away from normal life :). Thanks to Liz and team as well that made all the arrangements to have all items in one peace. Come visit you will never regret it. Say hi to pico and pupusa the island dogs.

We had an amazing trip. We got engaged and Lewie and Shikera made it very special by offering to take us on a boat ride so he could propose. We did two excursions where Richie was the most amazing person. Richie made our trip extremely special and we will never forget his hospitality. Richie also sings.. ask him to sing you a song. Would also like to mention Dan and Junior. They are great bartenders and made our time awesome with their amazing drinks and personality. Hydrogen the boat captain kept us same and took us to some great reefs for snorkel.
