Amalia Hotel

I stayed here 4 nights and really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are spotless with good wifi, shower and a nice balcony. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The pool looked nice but I always went to the beach nearby. The location is good with many restaurants close. A good budget choice in Corfu and also booking direct is cheaper.

It’s basic but I loved it. The food was good not fancy but it did the job. The pool and bar were great. We spent one night in a room upstairs it was too tight a squeeze with cases etc. when we asked to move we were moved to a large room down by the pool. The steps up from pool were very steep so we went up the path at side. All the staff were great no issues at all. I had a lovely relaxing holiday. Thank you Amalia Hotel would defo come back

Stayed at the Amalia for a 10 night stay. The hotel is on the main road within easy reach of local bus stops. Rooms: Rooms were basic, bed was the Hardest I have ever slept on and creaked every time I turned over, not very comfortable. Bedding was changed after day 5, Towels were changed more often. There isn't a hairdryer in the room but you can request one from reception. The shower was tiny, just enough room to turn. Wee tip. Be careful with the water. It comes and goes and goes from hot to cold. Staff: The staff at the hotel were very friendly and always willing to help with any enquiry. Bar staff were very attentive. Try a kumquat lover cocktail. Very yummy. Premium alcohol was not part of the AI but could be purchased if wanted . Entertainment was on only on 3 days a week. And none were at the weekend. Food: Now this is a mixed review. The breakfast and lunch were ok Dinner, well I personally found it cold, it was tasty enough just needed a min or 2 in the microwave . If you want to eat out there are a couple of restaurants I would definitely recommend. La Casa and Alexandros. La Casa is right across the road and Alexandros is just down the street. Both serve really tasty local food. I would also recommend a trip into Corfu City. Get the bus. Costing around €2:30 and will take around 30mins. Wander round the shops and stop for lunch in the many tavernas. There is a beach BUT. and its a big BUT. To get-together beach you have to walk past a big Hotel called Ikos. Once to actually reach the beach you will notice that the whole stretch is privately owned by the big hotel. You can walk along but your not permitted to use the sun beds and there is security to make sure you don't. I would go back. If they changed the mattresses. But I guess for a 3* it was OK.

Amazing time at Amalia hotel…people from reception walcom as like a family.Room was clean and fresh.Mss Angeliki chef of kitchen teach us what really Greek food mean.Pool bar clean.Boss of hotel unbeliveable friendly,andhelpful with all.Big thanks also for barbecue time andevery night at bar.

Just come back from this hotel! Wasn't a good week, the staff are nice. The pool is really big, the food was ok but needed to be hot! Some nights it was tasty but always luck warm😕the whole hotel needs updating was really disappointed thought it might of been better! I would only give it a 2 Star. Everything in the rooms wear falling apart but one good thing the rooms were always cleaned every day. There is a beautiful restaurant over the road La casa the food is fabulous! Sorry this is my first ever bad review 😒only being truthful.

Had a four night stay to celebrate our Ruby Anniversary. Hotel staff very friendly, Pool area good . Room very dated and curtains hanging off rail, bed extremely hard . Bar staff and restaurant staff very good . Pity about food not much choice and needed to use microwave as lukewarm . Entertainment was provided on two nights of our stay and that was very good. Bar , beer ok wine ok but not all drinks are included in all inclusive. Beach not too far away and buses run frequently. Supermarket opposite . Went to La Casa one night for meal and was brilliant.

I read the previous reviews and was wary before our arrival. No need to be. Yes the rooms are in need of updating - but that didn’t take away from our weeks stay here. Our room was on the ground floor, just round the corner from the pool and pool bar - so we’re able to open the doors and sunbath on the sun filled terrace outside- bliss! The shower in our room was very small - a shower tray with a curtain round it - but we soon adjusted to it. The cold water supply to our room stopped one day meaning we couldn’t flush the loo and the shower was scalding. They immediately offered us another room - but we preferred to stay where we were and they had the problem solved by mid afternoon and that evening they set wine and fruit to us on our terrace- a lovely touch! The room was serviced everyday- (although the bathroom and floors were not cleaned) and towels changed every other day. The dining area inside is very plain but the outside terrace is gorgeous- we had amazing weather so were able to enjoy this area every day. The food was great. It is a small hotel so doesn’t have the massive choices you might have experienced in other all inclusive hotels, but, what they had on offer was very tasty and fresh. Breakfast choices included omelettes, boiled eggs , fried eggs, bacon, pastries, breads and the most delicious Greek yoghurt. The coffee was also very good. Lunch and dinner was also very good. The best moussaka and cream horns I have ever tasted. The staff are so friendly- a big shout out to the lovely Vicky and Magdalina at the pool bar. The pool area is really really nice. Outside the hotel the road is mad - no footpaths so take extreme care when venturing out The nearby beaches are gorgeous. Had planned to go to Corfu town- the bus stop is nearby and takes about 40 minutes- but we were so relaxed at the hotel and the weather was so good we didn’t bother. Will we be back? Absolutely!,,,

Just returned from this hotel. The staff were lovely but the hotel needs a bit of money spending on it. Looks a bit tired from the first floor upwards. The pool, bar area and reception were lovely but the rest of the hotel needed updating. The staff were very helpful…our mattress had seen better days. It was changed within an hour or two. Unfortunately there is a sewage smell around the pool that wafts with the breeze.

It's a small family-run hotel, which is good if you do not want a lot of other guests around and the staff are really friendly and very helpful. It was stated to be a 3-star but on the other sites it was 2, so therefore was not expecting too much But having paid £3000 for 3 of us, I do expect the hotel to be clean, serve hot food, and have a decent pool. Some parts of the hotel were not very clean more so the pool area, which for some reason had 2 hose pipes in which fed cold water in ??. The area around it had cracked tiles as did the pool itself which could easily hurt someone, The poolside umbrellas were not secured securely and one nearly hit my daughter due to the wind, so at mid-afternoon, they were all taken down ??. The food was limited in choice but was really lovely but it was never hot and when this was pointed out was told to use the microwave...hot food is a must. The shower in the room was dated, and the beds were rock-hard. The pictures on their website are not recent and all the lovely touches that they highlight are not there. the dining area is not like what it looks on the website. The location is on a very busy and noisy main road and getting to the beach is a nigh**are and dangerous. So the good points are small hotel so have so much more personal experience, lovely staff, a good selection of food, drinks not bad, not strong, and excellent aircon. Needs to clean and update the pool area as well as the rooms. Take insect repellent and cream as the rooms and poolside are swarming with ants. If you like cats the 2 cats who live there are lovely and very friendly. Sorry if this sounds like a harsh review but saying it has it happened, still had a amazing hoilday
