San Marina Motel Daytona

We stayed one night. The notice at the reception window said: if you don’t like your room come and look at other rooms. Interesting beginning isn’t it. We were so tired after our flights that decided not to prolong the suffering. Our king size bed room on the 1st floor was tiny, furniture very old, one tiny window, unpleasant dusty smell in the room. The tiny bathroom though clean enough didn’t have even a small shelf for toothpaste and tooth brushes. We put them on the windowsill.

Towels and wash cloths were filthy, burn holes in blankets. Floors were filthy and covered in dirt, did not smell clean, smelled like cigarette smoke, had to go and buy sheets just to be able to sleep because none of the bed sheets seemed remotely clean.

Roaches in the room. Just dirty. Remote didn’t work. Room smelled horrible

Called in advance to verify parking and were told valet parking would be $30/day. We arrived to valet to check into the hotel and unload our truck and they tried to up-charge us and said it’d be $40/day to park the truck. I went into the hotel and told them what happened. They said it might be because it’s a bigger vehicle, but they ended up following through with $30/day since that’s what they stated on the phone. The valet expected you to tip them every time they drive your vehicle. The room was small but the location was great. The bed and pillows were hard. Bathroom fixtures were falling off and such as the shower knob (I had to put it back on gently to be able to use it because it fell off as soon as I turned the knob). It’s an older hotel but definitely needs more upkeep. The best part of this hotel is the location being right across the street from the beach. However, there are plenty of options to choose from on this *****. After leaving, I noticed the side of my truck was scratched in two places which weren’t there before paring valet for this trip. Now I’ll have to have work done on my truck to fix these issues.

Was very disappointed in the place. Looked more promising in the website then it is in person. Beds are hard, towels are very thin, bathroom is very tiny, channels on tv are horrible! I think they’re the ones that you get free! Would definitely not recommend this place!

Went to complain about the homeless people staying outside the room, they told me they were calling the police. T.V didn't work & no Wifi. I was told by the desk that I had unplugged the TV and that wifi was not included it was just complimentary. Originally booked a smoking room but was told I was upgraded to a non-smoking b/c they didn't have any other rooms. Soon after Police trespassed me.

the motel room was clean though the mattresses did have some marks but was mainly on the box spring. service was straight forward and got me to my room quick. tho the key card was down at first took me a while to get my key card. the only issue i really had was parking. you had to get a spot early as possible because the parking lanes are so few and stacked together. its not amazing but its not bad either. i would stay again if i was on a budget

The room was good and the property was close to the beach and tons of food and shopping. We had to call the desk to get someone to check us in and the office is not 24 hours so we had to leave the key in a mailbox outside of the office. Pool was good as well.

Even though room was empty & had been serviced, they charge Extra for 1.5 hr early check in. Place wasn't, or didn't get busy. Very minimal.
