We needed a one night stay over in Ilkeston and booked Borrowfield Lodge through ***********. We were asked in advance our arrival time and when we asked if we could check in earlier than the normal time we received a lovely welcoming email from Nigel confirming this He was there to greet us on arrival and we were delighted to be upgraded to the large double room from the standard one which we had booked. Everything about the room was lovely, from the furnishings, bedding, towels, enormous bathroom, tea, coffee, water and fresh milk provided to the complimentary toiletries. We had trouble getting through to a nearby pub to book a meal and Nigel immediately rang the owner’s private number and secured a table for us. Nigel is so friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. We would highly recommend this little gem of a place and will definitely stay here again should we ever be in the area.

We stayed overnight at the end of September and can highly recommend Borrowfield Lodge. Nigel is the perfect host. The room was absolutely lovely, decorated to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. There was complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and bottled water in the room along with very cute bags of toiletries. Nigel had also very kindly bought my husband and I a box of chocolates as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. 10 out of 10 from us.

Staying one night for Download 22 at Donnington Track. Beautiful renovated lodge within secured gated parking . Tastefully and modern en-suite rooms. Very comfy bed with fridge kettle TV and a what to do guide in Derby . Highly recommend. 👍

We stayed here for 1 night after flying back to East Midlands airport. It's only 15min away. Nigel was very nice and accommodating (slightly late arrival) and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. Lovely room and bathroom, well decorated and immaculate. Highly recommended!

Stayed here recently with my partner as I used to live in Derby and return regularly to visit friends. We have tried all the corporate hotels and have been utterly disappointed with them all. On arrival here, we had a warm welcome and were shown to a very tastefully furnished room, with all the amenities we could wish for. We stayed two nights and slept well in the enormous bed The very large walk in shower was just perfect and there were complimentary toiletries available too. The room was immaculately clean and comfortable. The location is peaceful, perfect for town and everywhere we needed to visit. The parking is secure and easy. We will definitely be returning for another stay.
