We often stay in Deventer during our summer trips to the Netherlands because it is close to family. This year we chose the Huis Vermeer hotel which was wonderful. The rooms are large and spacious, the location is excellent across the Grote Markt from the Lebuinus church, and the hotel prepares an outstanding breakfast. Our only comment on the hotel is that air conditioning is provided by mobile units, which require opening a window to let the A/C tube through, which allows insects into the rooms. Not a big issue because the weather is rarely hot in Holland. Otherwise all was perfect!

A hidden jewel! All makes sense, the staff. the food and the rooms: all top of the bill. The passion in which this hotel is managed and executed is unheard of. From check in to check out it was a feast. For me as a seasoned traveler the experience is a well deserved a 10!!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, Team Huis Vermeer are very friendly and also very professional, my room was excellent very comfortable, quiet and easy to relax. Breakfast was a perfect blend of quality and set me up beautifully for the days i was in Deventer.

The Huis Vermeer experience is exceptional; as a frequent business traveler of many years spanning many countries I can honestly say this hotel ranks as one of the best for overall satisfaction. Of particular note all the staff who make the stay so welcoming and enjoyable to the comfort levels of the rooms and also the extreme high end quality of the restaurant. All of this for a reasonable price suggests recommendation is necessary. Do not miss the opportunity. I shall look forward to my next visit. Kevin UK.

Great stay for me. Very well appointed room, with all the amenities needed. Nice bathroom with a window. Facing the courtyard maybe not the best view but it was very quiet and this was important to me. Overall all the hotel is very well maintained. I had a dinner and it was good, great service and honest pricing. Breakfast it is a bit odd, you don’t get to choose much but for me was also very good and service was fast. Fresh orange juice. Parking - for me not a big deal leave the car on their garage, it is some 300 meters away, just be aware if it rains no parking available nearby but you are allowed to drop your baggage off. Staff was perfect

This hotel gives guests the total wow feeling. It starts with the historic building with just eleven beautiful rooms with comfortable Deventer made Auping beds. Breakfast served at your table with bubbles in a spacious room with a lot of natural light. When in Deventer... go Hotel Huis Vermeer!

Fantastic location. Super friendly staff at the reception. Fine room with great A/C (not standard for such old building). The only reason I give the hotel 4 stars is because I expected more from breakfast. Yes, breakfast was served in a fancy manner reflecting fine tea time in London, but it would have been better with a buffet (just my opinion). Otherwise perfect.

The Huis Vermeer is a wonderful place to stay. They have cozy rooms, all individual with nice details. Particularly mentioned should be the very friendly staff! Delicious breakfast and perfectly located - we will return. We came for a weekend with 11 girls having fun.

This was the 5th time I stayed in this hotel because we have Dutch family in the Deventer area, we are 🇨🇦. Every time we are treated with such kindness and every request we have is taken seriously. The hotel in itself is beautiful, exquisite, and in the perfect location in the city. The staff is super friendly! We are definitely coming back, and as a frequent world traveler, this is one of my favorite hotels in the world.
