Patrick wants your stay to be a happy one.........and he more than excelled. He refurbished this townhouse eight years ago with impeccable taste, designed its pretty city garden, and produced the delicious breakfast with fruit, ham, eggs, smoked trout and the lightest pastries from Dinan's finest boulangerie. Our beautiful high ceilinged room with its large window overlooking the garden was extremely comfortable with a massive bed, lovely shower room........and scrupulously clean. He himself is a lovely smiley man who could not have been more hospitable.

My wife and I spent 5 days in Brittany recently and stayed on recommendation at Le 27 Boutique B&B in the beautiful village of Dinan. Our stay was wonderful and certainly exceeded our expectations. Patrick,our host was charming and could not have done more to make us feel welcome. The breakfasts were delicious with perfect eggs,local pastries freshly baked, homemade jams and perfect coffee, all presented at a time of our choosing in a charmingly rustic room. The property was a lovely terrace house with lots of character and immaculately clean. Our room was spacious and welcoming overlooking a beautiful rear garden. The room was serviced everyday. It was centrally located in the old town and on the Saturday Morning we woke to a bustling local produce market right in front of our stay. We can't recommend this B&B too highly and really enjoyed our time with Patrick, the perfect host.

Le 27 in Dinan is one of the best of the many places we have stayed in France. There are only two very spacious rooms: try to get the one overlooking the garden if you can, though we would take the other one in a heartbeat if we needed to. Patrick, the host, is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, exceptionally professional in a very personal, informal way. He will help you in any way that you need, and also stay in the background if what you prefer is privacy. He speaks perfect English; we speak intermediate French, but used English 90% of the time (5 nights) we were there because it was just so easy. The en suite bathroom was modern, the public rooms beautiful and comfortable (often with beautiful recorded jazz from Patrick's collection supplying a soothing background), the garden a delight, and breakfast is pretty much anything you want. Parking is easy across the street in a controlled lot, and free with Patrick's pass. But you won't need your car to enjoy Dinan, because everything you want is within easy walking distance. We used ours only for day trips to St-Malo and Mont-St-Michel. If you're planning to enjoy the delightful city of Dinan, stay here.

We spent two nights in Dinan and had a wonderful experience at Le 27. Our room, which overlooked the garden, had an ensuite bathroom, and a wonderful view of the city, was spacious, quiet, and comfortable in every way. Patrick is an incredible host who somehow manages to give guests lots of space and privacy and yet is available at a moment's notice whenever something is needed. The house is gorgeously restored and very playfully decorated. Patrick generously answered our many questions, ranging from the history of the house to parking logistics, with humor and made dinner reservations for us at two great restaurants. The breakfasts were out of this world, with an incredibly fresh, flavorful, and plentiful selection of fruits, cereal, yogurt, cheeses, smoked fish and meat, pastries, etc. The garden is a wonderful place to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. We wish we had more time to relax there! I cannot recommend Le 27 highly enough. A huge thank you to Patrick for the tremendous care, creativity, kindness, and fun he brings to his work, making so many great vacation memories. We feel very lucky to have had the chance to stay with him.

Beautiful townhome in the city. Incredibly decorated by Patrick and Elisabeth. We love Pinocchio! Patrick is the kindest and most attentive host we’ve ever met. Everything is as clean as your own home and 100% of everything is furnished. The breakfasts were wonderful. Hard to do better.

I had the privilege of spending three glorious nights at Le 27 Boutique B & B in July, and after two months of traveling through Italy and France, it was clearly a highlight of my extensive trip; I could even say, it was my favorite of numerous B & B’s and hotels. Patrick’s home is a lovely three story stone townhouse, in the center of historic Dinan, with nearby parking provided. The communal rooms on the ground floor were beautiful, and available for the guests, as well as the lovely garden, which was exquisite, and the two guest rooms on the ‘first floor,’ were exceptional. Patrick met me outside when I arrived at 5:05pm on the dot and directed me to the nearby private parking area across the street, which was accessible by use of a resident’s access card. He had also made three dinner reservations for me ahead of time. He is the most gracious host you could ever imagine, presenting the most elaborate ‘petit-dejeuner’ (breakfast) every morning for me and the other guests. I highly recommend Le 27 Boutique B & B and do hope I’ll have an opportunity to return one day.

We have just had a wonderful 4 nights stay in Le 27 Boutique in Dinan. It is a gorgeously restored terrace with 2 beautiful guest bedrooms. on the first floor. Ours was very quiet (important for us) and had a lovely garden/district view. Downstairs was the breakfast room and guest lounge, with access to the garden. Patrick prepared the most delicious breakfasts each morning and gave us great recommendations for places to eat and visit on our day trips (eg Bergamote's in St Malo was fantastic). He also booked our dinners at his favourite restaurants and printed a map each night on how to get there. Le 27 Boutique was very centrally positioned to the old town and to many restaurants. Dinan itself is a beautiful medieval town with a lovely riverside port (plus a nice 30 min riverside walk to Lehon which is another cute village). We found Dinan the perfect base for exploring Brittany, and from here made day trips to St Malo and the amazing Mont Saint Michel. Thank you Patrick for a special stay

Wow, wow wow! The type of place you do not want to review in case others find out it exists! A 2 bedroom B&B in a stunning town house in the centre of Dinan. The host Patrick delivers phenomenally high standards, from the decor, cleanliness and hospitality through to the most amazing breafast spreads. Our room was incredibly spacious, well furnished and the large bed extremely comfortable. We had a very large ensuite bathroom with shower and spa bath and a separate toilet. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided with a good choice of quality beverages. There was also a fridge in the room. Guests have use of a well apointed lounge with doors out on to the garden with patio furniture and loungers backing on to the historic city walls. Breakfast each day was an absolute feast! Not just the quantity and choice but the real quality of the provision. Each morning we were offered cereal, fresh fruits (such as tiny organic strawberies Yum!), at least three types of delicious yoghurt, meats, cheese, smoked trout, soft eggs, bread and pastries from a local baker, preserves etc. Coffee was delicious and plentiful, juice was freshly squeezed and there was no less than 6 fine leaf teas to choose from. Patrick was happy to recommend restaurants in town and places to visit locally. He was the perfect host! Three nights at the end of June cost us £460 which for the quality and service provided was a bargain. Please note that car parking is included in the main square opposite the B&B via a permit provided by Patrick. I would say that the establishment is really only suitable for couples as there are only 2 double bedrooms.

Our wonderful experience began months before we even arrived in Dinan. After booking on-line, Patrick, the gracious and gregarious proprietor, emailed his greetings to me, kindly offered to assist with touring ideas and restaurant reservations, and apologized for his English, which, by the way, is terrific and galactically better than my schoolboy French. My wife and I arrived at Le 27 earlier than the normal check-in time, but Patrick opened for us, took our luggage, and gave us the card that opens the gate to the municipal parking lot directly across the street. Le 27 is a jewel box situated in the heart of Dinan, delightfully decorated with impeccable taste and replete with every amenity you could possibly want and far more than you would expect. The bedrooms are large and luxurious and the public areas commodious, comfortable, and captivating. Even the backyard is sumptuous with gorgeous plantings, chaise lounge seating, a lovely view over the ancient town walls, and Yoda, the cat, who unobtrusively patrols the grounds with affection for its guests. Breakfast in the light and airy dining room with a soaring ceiling and traditionally furnished, but with a dash of Patrick's infectious whimsy, is a lavish affair--eggs, smoked salmon, a selection of fresh pastries that changed each day, coffee with hot milk, homemade jams, an assortment of gourmet teas, cheese, tomatoes, etc., etc. etc. Having enjoyed this luxurious repast, lunch will be an afterthought. Although I despair that I cannot recall all of the exquisite and thoughtful touches Patrick provides, naming just a few will give you a sense of his relentless efforts to please his guests. Restaurant reservations are printed on a sheet showing cartoon figures attending a banquet in progress; the water closet, separate from the bathroom, has its own little sink, soap, and hand towels; and the living room sports a small self-service bar. Most important, though, is the innkeeper. Patrick exudes a genuine warmth and friendliness that pervades the entire house. Through our many travels in far lands, my wife and I have rarely experienced such accommodating hospitality. We were sad to bid farewell to him when our time came to leave Dinan.
