We were nervous to book originally as there were few reviews and in our experience of ‘luxury’ in Mexico is not always as the title suggests but we were looking for something unique and decided to give it chance and goodness were we right to do so, this really is luxury glamming! It really did exceed our expectations. We arrived late in the afternoon, the welcome at security was great and the guard directed to the site. As we were driving down the road towards the hotel the beautiful golden light of Guanajuato was illuminating the lavender, olive trees and vines! It was like a fusion of a Mexican/Mediterranean landscape, it was spectacular. We we’re greeted at our tent by Dorian and Vero who showed us up to the tent and gave us a detailed introduction to the workings of the tent and its equipment. They directed us to the restaurant and bar/pool area and informed us of the meal times. They were very informative. They were always contactable throughout the stay via WhatsApp and were very quick to reply. We never felt alone (communicatively speaking) The tents are like a safari tent that you might find in Africa, really well insulated and there is heating for the night time as it gets a little fresh. Both the outdoor and indoor living areas are ample. The fixtures and fittings are finished to a high standard, the decoration modern but fitting to the environment. The bathroom is well equipped with toiletries and hairdryer and the shower is nice and powerful. The bedroom is very comfortable with space for two children. We never felt cramped or uncomfortable. The jacuzzi was warm and perfect for relaxing in the afternoon/evening. The whole setting is very ‘instagrammable’, its athletically pleasing and the textiles and textures are beautiful. The menu in the restaurant is preplanned so if you have dietary requirements you must inform the management prior to arrival as there is very little option when you are there. All food and drinks were of a high quality and the children’s meals were well thought out. All staff throughout were very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. We organized three extra activities, massage, yoga and wine tasting. All were very enjoyable. There were mountain bikes available free to use and the paths are perfect for trail running. There is Wi-Fi throughout and it worked well for our needs. This really is a place to disconnect though, i suggest switching off and absorbing the surroundings. Take some games or something to read in the evening, its so peaceful. There is very little light pollution in this area so the skies are amazing, so many stars! Wake up early, go for a walk, enjoy the morning light in the olive groves and soak in the late afternoon light too, really its spectacular.
