WoodSpring Suites Chicago Romeoville

It was a okay hotel and had its pros and cons. Pros: it was clean, close to the 55 interstate, had some drivable restaurants nearby, staff was friendly, parking was free and there is a self serving laundromat in the hotel ($3 fir the washer and $2.75 for dryers, you can use quarters or credit card). Cons: they nickel and dime you (to get a change of towels you can bring them down but they will charge you $10 to do it), the front desk closes at 8pm so if you arrived after that you are out of luck until the morning and if there’s a emergency at night there is a number to call but other then that, again you’re out of luck, there’s no tissues, pad of paper/pen and very minimal hangers, noise carry’s throughout the rooms and it’s a pet friendly hotel so the dogs were barking during most of the night. During the last night there the smoke detector needed new batteries and beeped all night long. If there was anyone at the front desk then we could of called down to have them change it. It’s not a place we would stay again.

The world is a sad place after aug 31…2 of the best employees woodspring suites had in romeoville have left…the amazing manager Nicole and the patron saint housekeeper Casey are no longer…so to past visitors who come back here to work or visit the world has been turned upside down

This is a basic hotel. There is only a small waiting area for visitors. No restaurants are within walking distance requiring you drive for anything you need. No change of linen unless you pay extra. The room was clean, but rugs in the rooms and hallways have been replaced with wood floors making noise carry from the halls and other rooms. if you have good neighbors in adjoining rooms no problem, but one loud resident next to or above you can make resting difficult. The hotel’s low cost is reflected in the lack of room enmities. The only items provided were the ususal soap and shampoo, so bring your own tissue and other personal needs. Rooms have a small kitchen but if you wish to cook you must pay extra for utensils. There is a laundry which was clean and machines were all working. The front desk closes at 8 PM if you have a problem after that you must call someone. There was a phone in my room but I couldn't get it to work. My Last night there the smoke alarm battery in the hall must have died and the darn thing beeped every 5 minutes from midnight til someone at the front desk could be notified- no one is on duty until 8 AM. Obviously no sleep that night. Again, this is a BASIC place to stay at a low cost.
