Premier Inn Dumbarton/Loch Lomond

When we arrived, we found that there was a restricted menu for evening meals in their restaurant. The internet here was not reliable which is unhelpful to say the least on a business trip. We had no problems with the internet or the menu when we stayed here in June 2024. I contacted their Business Account centre on 22 October 2024 saying I would hold off on doing their TripAdvisor review until today to give them a chance to settle this and other problems we had at 3 of their other branches. They haven't even had the courtesy to reply to me even though they have a postal address, 2 telephone numbers and an e-mail address for me. We use Premier Inn a lot but are now reviewing our business travel arrangements.

Nice and quiet, clean, with very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is undergoing a refurbishment but it is still open and serving breakfasts and dinner. It has I think a restricted menu at the moment but still has a reasonable choice. The late check out is greatly appreciated.

Excellent value for money. The Wi-fi did not work at all, they said it was a recent problem to be sorted out soon. Good value for breakfast and dinner using the deal meal proposed by the staff. exactly the sabe as the Premier Inn in Edimburg, but at 25% rate.

Really Bad. Booked months back. Bed with breakfast and evening meal. We then saw online some of the pubs had been shut. We then phoned Dunbarton Premier direct. They said pub closed to every day trade but open as NORMAL for Premier hotel stays, we asked, " Is it full menu?" Yep they say, nothing changed. So's after a 5 hour drive from Skye, arrived at 14.33 PM. We noticed pub looked closed... Wife goes in and asks to book in, no, not until 15.00PM. OK, a little petty but so be it, wife askes about pub.... Not open until 17.30PM ! She tells them I'm diabetic and needed to eat by 16.00PM. They say we should have had an email, no email and besides, we had phoned Dunbarton direct two weeks before, while on way to Skye. Anyways, I had operation on bladder a few weeks before and need to wee (Pain). Goes into hotel to use toilets, they say no...no public toilets! So sits in car, me wanting to drive away with wife going back in to cancel. They said to her, you can cancel meal but not the room. We go into room at 15.00PM. Menu in room, very limited choice, me thinking room menu. Goes to the pub at 17.30PM. It is indeed limited menu. Lovely server tells us, menu is new and will be the standard when they move food over to hotel. Not a full menu since pub had closed to general public. We go back after eating a burger and chips. I ask for managers name, no they say, contact main customer help line. No sorry, no thankyou, nothing. All in all, pee poor. Will never use again (Premier) in any location. Be warned, understand ALL PUBS ARE RUNNING ALONG THESE LINES.

We stayed a Dumbarton to break up our drive up to The Isle of Skye where we were staying for a week. The staff at The Dumbarton Premier Inn were great. We requested an accessible room which ticked all our boxes for our needs. A very comfortable nights sleep with a nice breakfast what more can you ask for!

Great location for Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean and tidy. Does what it says on the tin!
