Travelodge Dundee Strathmore Avenue

We stay at a lot of travelodge as up and down the country, and this was one of the cheapest we have stayed in but other than the outside, we think it is good value for money. Our room was clean, had a desk snd 2 chairs, enough room to hang some of our clothes up on the railing. Tv was a bit small but this was still watchable. Would recommend to stay here if you were looking to book some place while on a budget.

What a wonderful stay we had. Had a few nights away from our children which we do not get that often. The hotel was Nicely placed that we were able to jump on a bus and get into the Center of the town quite quickly. We got offered to add on breakfast but we weren't sure about it so left it but when we came down to the Reception area in the morning we decided to purchase the breakfast and wow this was great, with a great wide selection to choose from.

I am from Dundee originally and used to stay not for from this travel lodge so I wanted to stay in the area purely to be close to family. Staff were friendly and accommodating on check-in. The kitchen was closed at 9pm due to unforseen circumstances, I used to work in hospitality and these things happen and can't be helped. My room was as expected from a travel lodge basic and the essentials in place. However having been in "budget" hotel across Europe in the last 10 days which were immaculate and cheaper. I am shocked that room smells like stale cigarettes, 2 main lights not working, towel rail broken and the third floor smell like cigarettes . The shower curtain(yes I said shower curtain) needs changed because it smells awful. Had I not been traveling for the last 14 hours and only staying 1 night I would have been either requesting a refund and looking for something else or change of room. I did not have the brain capacity or energy to complain. Disappointing.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here as there were many faults throughout our visit. The staff were not helpful and the breakfast was very limited

Room not very nice. Quite dark & lighting not relaxing. Bed needed replaced, creaky. No sockets either side of bed - blanked out - Only socket was across the room. Stairwells dirty & needed decorating.

Our trip to Dundee was topped off by a fantastic stay at This travelodge on strathmore avenue. Had everything that we needed, hot shower cosy bed and friendly staff. Outside does look a bit run down but this did not effect our stay at all. If we needed anything we just popped down to the reception and they were able to help.

Team were fantastic to us. If you are looking for some place to put down your head for a cheap price I would recommend this travelodge. Situated not to far away from the city Center like a five minute car journey away. Our room had everything we needed in it. Good bed, table, chairs and fluffy pillows.

What a great hotel, we arrived with our two kids 5 and 6. Both our kids managed to get a great night sleep which meant so did my partner and I, this was great as we had a fully busy day the following day. Breakfast was lovely and food was getting topped up regularly. The building needs a bit of attention but we will be staying here again.
