Bluestone on George is an excellent choice for downtown Dunedin. Close to all the shopping, great restaurants, the railway station and The Octagon!

I didn't want to leave. Very comfortable room, spacious, light, small balcony, but it was lovely to have the door open.
Enormous bathroom with large spa bath - it might be difficult for some to get in to use the shower. There is a grab handle.
Nice kitchenette and even has a washing machine.
The guest lounge looked nice, but didn't use this, although they say they offer drinks and platters. May be next time!
Some great eateries close by and around 20 min walk to the Octagon.

The property was very convenient, clean and comfortable, and well appointed. The welcome and room materials were very helpful and informative. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful with lots of attention to small detail like a kettle and fresh milk, nice towels, six good pillows on the bed, very comfortable mattress, friendly, helpful owners, nice views, quiet - pretty perfect a place to stay.

I could not say enough good things about this hotel. If you can stay here, do it!! Fabulous rooms! Comfort and cleanliness are next level! I will stay here every time I’m in Dunedin!!

I couldn’t be more pleased with my decision to stay at Bluestone on George. The room was clean, well-appointed, and had a lovely view. The owners are on site and incredibly accommodating. I saw on other reviews that other guests were disappointed by a lack of room service, but the owners carefully curated a compendium of local information that included restaurants with delivery service so, for me, this obviated the need for on-site dining. (And, also, we tried a couple of the recommended restaurants and they were excellent.) Convenient location as well - a relatively short walk to shops, restaurants, and the Octagon. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable new modern hotel. Very helpful team. 15 minutes walk to octogon with plentiful cafes and restaurants. Walking is sometimes draining but all around very enjoyable

The room was clean and spacious. It had everything we needed and a huge bathtub! The location was good, close to everything but quiet. We will happily stay there again.

Such a gem! One of our favorite stays in New Zealand. The staff was so friendly and recommended things to do and eat in the city. The location was walking distance from so much. The room was so well equipped, with a kitchenette and laundry in-room. The bathroom and jacuzzi tub were also a highlight. I cannot recommend this place enough.
