Gold Coast Resort Dungarvan

Fantastic hotel, excellent staff and food always top quality. Great value for money and large portion size. Location and views could not be better.

Pitch in excellent condition, brilliant facility, food is absolutely gorgeous with brilliant service, pool, steam room, jacuzzi and sauna all top notch, everything here you can ask for a great family/friend weekend break or holiday,,,

There were a group of 15 of us and we stayed in 2 cottages. They were awarded 3 stairs and were anything but. Doors were broken, horrible mouldy shower curtains. The facilities outlined in the website eg Dugout bar was closed. Bunker Bar food closed early. Their website gives a completely different impression. While some of the staff were friendly enough. The majority were less than helpful. While Dungarvan and the surrounding area is breathtaking we were really let down by our choice of accomodation. Having travelled extensively in Ireland and overseas hands down this is one of the worst places I've ever stayed in.

I will not come here again. the staff was unfriendly, we felt discriminated and intimidated. They were rude and aggressive, especially since there were also minor children with us. The villa was unkempt with sticky floors. The utensils were dirty. The fridge was out of order. The dishwasher was broken. The tables were sticky. I do not recommend to anyone and especially for such money.

I am staying in the cottages number 8. The facilities are poor. The cooker is like something from ark. I have been tring to boil potatoes for the past 40 mi uses and the ring just won't heat up. How this cooker is considered acceptable standard for self catering is a mystery to me. It is a health and safety nigh**are. It is a pity because the location is lovely. I would definitely not recommend this accomodation.

We can all imagine a beautiful bar by the sea in Summertime but even in the dark days of November the Bunker bar creates a warmth of hospitality. The mist had rolled in over Dungarvan bay so the vista was indeed one of an Autumnal Saturday but yet being by the waterside always creates nostalgia. A warm welcome, a friendly greeting and a tempting menu sets the scene. Table service at 4pm is always a welcome treat especially when you want some home comforting food. My lunch was just perfect. No further superlatives needed. Perfect is Perfect. See you soon.

We found this place by accident having gone to another location for lunch however they couldn't find our reservation. They served a Sunday carvery that was AMAZING!!! Traditional roast ham, turkey, off the bone beef that melted in your mouth. The Veg, Mash and Roasties were absolutely spot on, and as for the pastries, home made and incredible.......... Service was run by Kathleen the Manager who ran the floor as if it was own own. Friendly, helpful, and couldn't do enough to make our visit more enjoyable. Well worth a visit.

I visited here 4th November to celebrate my birthday what a hole of a place stayed in number 7 upon arrival there where forgeien nationals staying next door burning rubbish on the bbq and drinking around it at 3.30pm we opened the door place was freezing very very old alround some blinds dont work on the single glaze windows went upstairs to see what that bedroom was like full of about 30 blue bottles swarming around the window so I killed all them before the rest arrived and didn't tell them because didn't want them worried so they arrived had one look at the place and where disgusted what they seen more blue bottles around the window so I went to reception pat came over had a look said hed get house cleaning I told him hed want to get rent to kill in so he moved us at 8pm freezing cold house again number 11 brought me upstairs had a look no blue bottles yet about 12 oclock blue bottles everywhere again where stuck there for the night as it was too late to get anywhere else rang reception next morning l looking for pat he wasn't in lucky enough checked out and moved on disgrace of a place I'd rather sleep in the car thanks for ruining our weekend break

Ladies golf trip ..can't say enough about the staff ...the course ...the greens perfect it's a must for all golfers ....perfectly dry after a deluge of rain ...the views ...sone if the best holes I have seen ...the pro in the shop could not be nicer . He loaned one lady a battery for free . ..good in the hotel after was lovely . Again the staff were so attentive ....
