Loved our stay. This hotel has a very nice staff who was very helpful at checkin and answered all questions. I liked being able to park at the front door of your room. The size of the room was very large and had a back door leading to a nice grass area and the mountainside. Top floor rooms had their own balconies with chairs. We were able to bring our dog which was a huge plus.

While the staff was accommodating and gracious, faculties need updating. The Bed needs replacement as we spent the night rolling to the center. We highly question the best western brand after this experience.

Hotel was a good place to meet family and spend a few days. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Stairs ways up to rooms could have been cleaner, but the day before was a dust storm so...plenty of parking. Only one working ice machine.

The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The noise from the second floor was loud and could hear people running and doors slamming most of the night. Wanted a second floor room, but was told the internet was not available for the rooms they had remaining. Hot tub was not well maintained and water level was low could not really enjoy. The pool was dirty there was a lot of sand and dirt on the bottom. Too bad.

This is one of the first properties if you are coming in from the 160 East and I can tell you that there is care put into this place. They fix things when needed and try to keep up with maintenance. The shower and tub are really nice tile and all kept in nice condition and never a hot water issue or faucet issue as so many hotels I have been too. Usually there is a shower issue at many places. Not here. There is a great back area here with a great mountain right out your back window/patio. I will definitely keep coming here when I go ski Purg and Hesperus. It is really tucked away and gives me a sense of real rural and outdoor living. It is a bit more isolated and not by as much stuff (but still super close to downtown) which for me is perfect. The value is exceptional for what you get.

Don't let the curb-view motel-view throw you off. This is a super clean, well-cared for, quiet and inexpensive Durango hotel. Super convenient location, awesome "backyard" and mountain view with private decks in the back(!) Good to breakfast and frankly really amazingly good coffee. Dave at the front desk was so pleasant and very helpful, as was the lady who checked us out in the morning. We only needed the one night but this will be our return-hotel when we come back to Durango.

Very comfortable rooms, super gym and excellent breakfast. Best of all were the staff, upon arrival we met Justin who was a breath of fresh air. Free welcoming drinks is a great idea. We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed an extra night and wouldn’t hesitate in staying there again. Just for the record since 2017 we’ve sTayed in over 1000 hotels around the United States and it’s rare for us to do a review

Lovely room, great layout, very comfortable bed, and notable for small things sometimes missing (USB ports or outlets accessible from the bed, storage for a large suitcase, adequate seating and lighting). The location is a bit outside downtown, but also puts you closer to some beautiful areas for hiking and scenic drives (Twin Buttes is just down the street, and Lake Nighthorse isn't too far away either). Durango itself is well worth a visit, because you'll find l kinds of things to do both for urban explorers and lovers of the outdoors, so this made a good base for both.

The hotel is a two-minute drive to town and to the Durango Train Station. The property is surrounded by trees and even though it is near the road that comes into the town, I didn't notice the noise while I was in the hotel room. Great breakfast and friendly staff.
