This is for the Peking Duck restaurant inside Hotel Tajikistan. The first issue was considering the restaurant could reasonably fit at least 50 or 60 people, they apparently had 2 menus. That is not a typo - TWO MENUS. We were a party of 2, and after understanding they could only give us one menu, took a few minutes to look it over. The waiter EXTREMELY RUDELY kept coming back to us to hurry up and order, rolling his eyes dramatically and right in front of us, repeatedly, because he needed our menu for another group. Just our luck, he got another menu freed up- then we could not get his attention to actually order because he no longer cared about us. After ordering, the first dish took 25 minutes to arrive. The second - my soup- took another 25 minutes, and the FIRST spoonful the waitress took to put into a bowl had a long string which I briefly thought was hair. After further inspection, it was an entire spool of thread...! There was no explanation for it, no one said anything while they took it away, and it took another 25 minutes to get my second dish, and ANOTHER 10 minutes after THAT to finally get my soup back again. No apology, no discount, no explanation. Ridiculous.
