Alexandra Inn

Loved our stay at the Alexandra Inn! Very clean, comfortable, and the extra foyer/vestibule area separating the rooms from the hallway help keep it extra quiet! Highly recommend.

We were very disappointed with our stay here. The room, though a corner king suite SOUNDS large, was very small and still nearly $300 with tax. There was no room for the luggage bench after we pulled out the spare bed and had to put it in the hallway. The king’s bedding was nice, but the pillows were so lofty that they went completely flat when using and the mattress was terribly firm and uncomfortable. The couch was upholstered with a tacky, sort of plastic vinyl and the mattress on it was really thin and uncomfortable. There were three of us in the room, which was maybe 10 feet across total and it was really cramped. Why is there a bright blue light and clear door for the mini fridge? It illuminated the entire room at night and covering it with a towel didn’t help much. The staff was friendly at check in and it was clean but I’d never suggest it to anyone sadly. We asked to change rooms because of the small size and were told rooms were all the same with only one king and a pull out. I find that doubtful.

The Alexandra hotel was great. A beautiful hotel, very clean & modern! The staff was very friendly & helpful as well. I would love to stay here again!

We loved how the room was laid out. Lots of space in the room. Beautiful bathroom. Concerns were the noisy heater! It kept me awake. Also our comforter had several rips in it.

This is a lovely new hotel. A couple of problems kept me from giving them 5 stars. First, there is no closet, although there is a place to hang things. There are also no drawers, so you have to live out of luggage. Never really a problem for a few days, usually. The shelf under the hangers might fit your case if it's small. So the establishment REALLY needs to furnish luggage racks in the rooms. We ended up moving the coffee table to the side and setting our suitcase on that, it worked but really, do you want guests to have to move furniture to make their stay comfortable. A luggage rack in each room is needed! There needs to be 2 towel bars in the bathroom, there are none, one by the shower and one by the tub. Many guest would hang towels to dry instead of needing them laundered if it were an option. Last, the tap water is terrible, other guests mentioned this but I thought how bad can it be. It's bad. Leaving a couple of bottles of water in each room would solve this, I know I am always delighted when a hotel leaves bottled water. I'm serious when I say don't even make coffee with the tap water. I know this is nitpicking, but the hotel and staff are so wonderful that I feel just a couple of tweaks would make it nearly perfect. We had a lovely balcony with a water view. Room was spacious with a sofa, so plenty of room for the two of us. Everything is spotless.

The hotel was very clean as it has just opened in the summer of 2023. The rooms are nice and spacious and have a great view of the East Grand Traverse Bay. We stayed at the end of October for our anniversary so the weather was cold and cloudy and we did not get to enjoy the beach, but the beach area was clean and looked like a nice place to be in the summer. Staff was very friendly and polite and overall nice place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay.Ally was amazing and gave us some good suggestions to try. She also went up to our room for a problem getting a channel on the tv. She really was awesome. Clean rooms with a beautiful view of the bay.Would definitely stay here again.

Property is right on the water with beach access. Smaller but very nice room on the parking lot side. Beware the bed support, you can hurt your shins, lol

Beware! Very nice place EXCEPT there is NO area outside of your room to sit and enjoy the view. We got handicap accessible room (all that was available) with parking lot view. There was NO closet or drawers in room. Only one hook for towels in bathroom. Not even luggage racks to put suitcase on. Other guests were given tokens for free drink. None offered to us. Maybe because we booked through **********? Have a rooftop area but closed first night due to rain. Second night they had a cellist for one hour but was cold and very windy therefore not tolerable. If you plan to enjoy view of the bay but have a parking lot view, plan to be disappointed. The cost was over $600 for two nights.
