Breakfast is very good . So is location . Rooms are fine with a hot shower . Would stay here again

Hotel in central location room very comfortable but very warm due to weather. Breakfast was fantastic delighted with the booking was an absolute bargain through Trip.com during the Royal military tattoo and fringe season! Would definitely return!

Good location, clean building, clean and comfortable rooms, pleasant staff. Fairly mild weather outside but temperature of the room was too much for a well rested night. Open window and a fan just didn’t do the trick.

Excellently located hotel for all the places to see in Edinburgh. Clean and practical hotel and the breakfast was lovely. Quite a busy place so we did have to wait 5/10 mins in the morning to be seated for breakfast but was worth it. The shower in our room was excellent and just what was needed after walking round a rainy Edinburgh!

Took my family to Edinburgh for a week and stayed at this place. Pros: - Room is clean and the price is cheap - Really close to the center of the city. We went to most of the spots on foot - Close to the train station - Breakfast is pretty decent. Couple of choices for you to eat - Staff are really friendly and nice Cons: - There were a few days the cleaner didn't replace enough towels (we have 3 people but we only got 2 sets) - Sometimes the toilet roll and the tea bags were not replenished Shout out to the staff Luigi for being super nice! We had a blast talking to him and he patiently explained the situation and guided us when we had problems! Extra kudos to him! :)

We recently stayed here whilst on a short family break in Edinburgh and it was a great experience with good location and welcoming staff. The reception staff were very helping in checking in as well as always on hand to help with any room issues. The breakfast was the highlight as the space in the bar area could become challenging with so many guests but the breakfast team were excellent always finding ways to accommodate us as well as other guests, the service went above and beyond with fresh warm options to cater all. Luigi was the star who together with his breakfast team made the difference in a wonderful stay. The only thing I would suggest is their cleaning team needs to focus a little more on hoovering the rooms as they were not same standards as other budget hotels.

The staff are super, helpful and good humoured. Food is lovely. Really well located for touring on foot, and also really close to the royal mall and stops for all 3 bus tours. Within comfortable walking distance to the main train station the Waverly, the main galleries, museums, cathedrals, royal mall, the castle. All within reasonable walking distance. A really great hotel, lovely comfortable stay, food for breakfast and dinner both superb!
