Lovely Boutique hotel, ideal for couples or business persons. Fantastic bar with open fire place and great friendly service.

I was up in Edinburgh for an exam. My room was quiet, minimal noise, dark at night. The bed (pillows and mattress) were perfect for me. I slept really well for the first time in months the night after my exam. It's stylish and clean. Had a wonderful stay, thank you. Also staff kibdly looked after my heavy suitcase and bag (full of books) after check out so I can get out and about without pulling heavy bags around.

Sadly the stay did not live up to expectation. Upon arrival I didn’t get the room I had pre- paid for and my room had been down graded and the reason given was this was because I’d booked as a solo occupancy. The room wasn’t fit for purpose and left me with a sleepless night. The hotel manager accepted this was a failing on the hotels part and as the hotel was full I was given very little alternatives. Breakfast this morning was equally poor by being served a cremated sausage sandwich. Sadly this showed there is clearly a lack of quality process before food leaves the kitchen or simply a lack of pride by the chef. On a positive note the front of house team were polite and very friendly. I had planned my stay to celebrate my 60th birthday and left me extremely disappointed

I choose a property with a lift as have bad knees. The lift only serves 1/3 property. This wasn’t made clear on the ******* website. Receptionist clearly judged I could walk up two lifts despite asking to use the lift.
No clearly defined reception area.
Toothpaste all down the back of the en-suite door.
No way of adjusting room temperature in your room.
Old sash window nigh**are to open to cool room. I had to stand on the dressing table and move mirror.
To say I booked as a treat for myself just left feeling underwhelmed.

Hotel was great, rooms spacious and well decorated. Friendly staff and great food. The only issue was the creaky water pipes, which made a lot of noise at night. It did not ruin the stay but the hotel needs to look into this.

Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Bed extremely comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to linger over it, will make sure to next time though.

Very cute and cozy. The food in the restaurant was excellent! Enjoyed every moment. Book this hotel if small spaces are ok with you. No regrets!

I stayed here because my daughter's apar**ent was within walking distance. It was the perfect choice and a great location with shops all around. The restaurant has good food, and the staff is very friendly. Do not book the park view rooms on a Friday or Saturday night because the bar and outside terrace noise is loud until 11 p.m. The rooms in the back are much quieter.
