The lodge may look so rustic but it is well equipped and comfortable. Really charming.The fire place on a cold night was very helpful.

We had a great stay at Rhino Post Safari Lodge. The whole stay was magical but our guide Wesley made the trip. He was very knowledgeable and his understanding of animal behaviour meant he could foresee what animals were going to do. We saw and learnt so much and all thought he was great. At the lodge itself, you can watch animals at the watering hole from the comfort of your balcony or the main bar area. The dinners were lovely and offered local meats and foods to try and it was all freshly prepared. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The shower is outdoors and the hot water is very limited but you are expected to take a fast shower due to water shortages. We all want to go back! the whole experience was great.

Great location and Staff are excellent. Food was very good with three choices for the nighttime entree. Very active watering hole at the lodge in October. Drives were great and we saw many animals each drive. Rooms are very good but be aware no air conditioning in the rooms so Summer might be pretty warm. It was perfect for Spring time.

Marvelous place to stay with a superb location and super warm and friendly staff. Highly recommended. I am a little late with this review and we actually stayed in Sep 2023 not Nov 2023

Walking Safari at Rhino Walking Safari is one of the best areas to do this and recommend it to anyone who loves nature .

Excellent luxury lodge. Great game drives. Very well informed ranger. Excellent rooms with all the luxuries. The staff really makes the experience great. They are just warm and welcoming in general. The meals were excellent. Just did not see any lions

The facility is located next to a river bed that is quite dry in their winter and there is a watering hole that draws many animals during the day. It’s interesting to watch the power dynamic between the different species. The rooms at the lodge are a hybrid fixed structure with some canvas sides that open to allow breeze. As such, in winter it can be cool but there are heated beds. While power is cut and the camp is dark at 10:30 PM, the heaters are hard wired to work all night. If you need to charge phones, camera batteries, etc. best to get those plugged in well before power is out. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our guide, Sorta, was amazing. Super knowledgeable and worked so diligently to get us great views of the various animal sightings. She was a wonderful hostess of the morning drive coffee and the sundowner cocktail session. I have a gluten allergy and they had wonderful gluten free snack selections with the morning coffee and the sundowner. I never felt that I was lacking in the full experience. We were fortunate to have great views of a leopard with a kill sitting in a tree and we also were lucky to see sable antelope, the only ones we saw in 12 days of game drives in the greater Kruger ecosystem. We saw an abundance of wildlife as Rhino Post has access to its own private concession acreage as well as Kruger park. The food was varied and abundant. There is brunch after the morning drive in the dining room, then high tea (full lunch) served outside overlooking the riverbed and watering hole. Dinner is after the evening drive and all guests sitting together at a long table. It’s quite the fun melting pot as there are guests from the world over. The chef did a great job providing fantastic gluten free choices at all meals. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the meals. When we were there, the number of guests seemed to number between 16-20. My son and I had a fantastic time and felt right at home and well cared for.

We have never traveled internationally as a family, and we are not accustomed to the level of accommodation and care we received at Rhino Post. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions about the animals. The chef made incredible vegan meals for us that went beyond salads and roasted vegetables. We had an incredible experience and everyone was so warm and welcoming. We would love to come back again.

It was a winter family trip (13 - 80th) and Rhino Lodge ticked all the boxes - The Safari, food, and staff all excellent. July is a great time of year to visit !
