La cafetería mal, atiende la misma persona que atiende la recepción.

Firstly, some lovely staff and the room cleaned every day but… Some impossibly grumpy and rude staff who would grunt and ignore you. Given a bad room with awful car park view despite hotel half empty. Room key didn’t work; 15 mins wait to get another Breakfast had no hot eggs, nasty bacon, no juice (orange cordial), no coffee most days. Air con in room didn’t work. WiFi in hotel didn’t work; when queried a shrug of shoulders. Main restaurant never open in evenings. Tried to charge for 5 nights when stay was 4. I could go on… but how this is 4Star is a miracle. That said, El Barco is beautiful and please visit. Just maybe consider somewhere else

Mirador de Gredos is a convenient and comfortable hotel. Located by the road, the access is very easy. If possible, try booking a room in the rear side, there are beautiful views of the town, with the castle, the river, the bridge and the church. It deserves a few photos. The room was comfortable and very clean and tidy, with a classic intemporal decor. Good beds. The rate I paid was also very good.

We stayed here for one night as part of a weeks horse riding holiday with Jerebeque horse trails. The outside of the building does not blend into the environment at all and is at odds with the beautiful surroundings. Once inside however, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable with a great shower and bathroom. The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious - showcasing local produce. I still think about the pork cheeks I ate there. Breakfast is a buffet with a large selection of items.

Un buen hotel que nos sirvió para pasar la noche en mitad de nuestro viaje. La habitación y las vistas fueron buenas. Hotel muy tranquilo con una cafetería amplia y confortable.

Nefasto el servicio de cenas el pan lo tuvieron q cambiar por incomestible, aparte de ofrecer solo una opción de menú y caro solicite un cambio de plato por estar mal de estómago,negando lo cuando a varios comensales si q lo hicieron una experiencia muy negativa, resultado sin cena me quedé hablando con él responsable y sus palabras fueron es lo q hay. A cuadros me dejó.

La habitación esta bien y la cama cómoda, algunas habitaciones no tienen nevera, fuimos grupo 50 la cena muy normal íbamos con pensión completa y picnic al mediodía que fue malísimo nos dieron un bocadillo con pan era y queso con moho una botella pequeña de agua y un plátano todo ello sin una misera bolsa ni servilletas, el desayuno a parte con un solo café y bollo de pan sin fruta muy deficiente y poco amable los camareros con cara de enfadados, a uno le divismos si podía traer más café abre la jarra ve que queda un poco y nos dice aún queda y nos lo echa, estaba frío y ahí demuestra su poca profesionalidad, como. O mente la cena muy simple, el desayuno pésimo y el picnic sin calificativo, solo salvo a un camarero joven que nos atendio el ultimo día

Es una pena que estuviera prácticamente vacío, jueves, primeros de marzo….. pero… el bar, cafetería, sala de la chimenea me fascinó. No es rústica, que suele ser más acogedora, pero Esteve muy a gusto… una pena no poder disfrutar mas porque solo estaba yo. La habitación, muy muy correcta, falta que la tv la cuelguen, pequeño destelle, sin más. Amplia, con una cama grande de doble colchón. La terraza, está bien, buenas vistas, pero no las suelo usar. El personal encantador. Y el breakfast… pues tenía buena pinta, demasiadas cosas para la poca gente que había. Volveré seguro

Lo peor del hotel, con diferencia, es el restaurante. Estuvimos una hora y veinte minutos esperando a que nos trajeran una tosta y un calamar a la plancha. Sin ofrecernos ninguna explicación, pese a estar con un niño pequeño. Cuando preguntamos nos dijeron que habían tenido un problema en la cocina; pero nadie se dignó a informarnos por si decidiamos irnos a otro lugar para dar de cenar al niño. Finalmente nos trajeron los platos fríos y de malas maneras. La gente que estaba en otras mesas nos dijeron que era lo habitual. No volvería jamás. Además, preguntamos en la recepción qué podiamos ver por allí y nos mandaron a 35 km del pueblo, en un lugar tan emblemático con El Barco de Ávila. Sinceramente vergonzoso. No lo recomendaría a nadie.
