Dormio Resort Costa Blanca Beach & Spa

We had visited this place for the second time. We loved the atmosphere there. Both of the times we booked seafront apartments with beautiful view.😍 Having your breakfast, lunch or dinner on your seafront balcony is the best! First time we booked Fuma exclusive and the second time Amerador exclusive rooms. Fuma has twice bigger balcony but the size of the apartment is the same and it looks pretty the same. The cleanliness is quite good. The kitchen and the bathroom both of the times were good but the last time (just arrived home yesterday) the sofa bed in the living room was disappointingly dirty and smelly. I think the guests before us had a dog with them and let the dog sleep on the sofa because it had stains and smells like wet dog. So we just covered the sofa with a blanket as long as we stayed there. I think if you let people to stay with pets you should clean those rooms with extra care. All of the fees (late check-out, parking in the garage, preference fee) is ridiculous . Late checkout what means 2 hours later then 10 cost 25 euros or afternoon checkout until 18 cost 80 euros. Parking 10 euros/night and the garage is big and no car in it so I don’t really see the point especially because the area is not that busy to don’t find a parking spot on the street. The beach has beautiful clear water but the sand is quiet dirty, I think is not cleaned by the hotel but it should be even though is not private beach. But the most amazing part (next to the view) is the guys in Mio’s. We have meet three of them during our stay and is one thing that they are super lovely with kids and with adults as well but they are happy to make you happy. Our son was super happy after every dance at the pool or face painting. We want to say a big thank you for them though this website as well!! They are the stars of this apartment hotel!🤩 Truly amazing guys!❤️

Quiet pretty location but lacks atmosphere - we booked here for a relaxing few days in between sightseeing in Valencia and the beach at Moraira. It has potential to be lovely but we found the apartment on the small side for the price, and felt a little boxed in by surrounding apartments. The stylish beach area of the bar was not staffed so was always empty which just seemed a waste and lazy. Website stated checkin as 3pm but then I received message advising it was not guaranteed until 5pm. The apartment had lovely sea view but lacked basics like chopping board, any proper cooking knives or a hairdryer or broom. The layout of the resort was confusing with various lifts and walkways to A1, B2 etc. Shop was even more limited than I expected with no fresh fruit or vege which just seemed lazy for a self catering resort. We had beautiful swims in the bay and took the tram to nearby El Campello which was a lovely Spanish family place - sorry to say would not return to El Dormio though.

I have stayed here several times and we always a a good time. The facilities are great and all the kitchen utensils are of a good standard. Staff helpful and it is easy to get about using both the bus and tram. We love vising and enjoy staying at the Dormio resort el Campello and hope to be back soon. Only thing I would say is missing is perhaps a chopping board. Deborah and Dalton.

My favourite hotel so far. So many places to sunbathe in different areas.. the apartment was spotless and huge.. perfect location too. The only thing I can really think that it needs is maybe some tea and coffee in the room as you get the kettle and a coffee maker, and maybe a later check out time 10am is very early but those are the only things I can think of.

25 min from Alicante airport and 25 min to Benidorm. Great view, very good rooms, clean, good internet connection. No microwave but there is a stove. They have garage but you can parc outside and save some money. One small shop within the hotel. Otherwise, no shops around. You need a car to be able to get around. There is a small beach as well. Yes, I would go there again.

A wonderful stay! Visited for a short break with my children (5 & 9 years old) and highly recommend. A small, clean, quiet resort with a lovely beach. The pool area and kids club were great, with a special mention to the entertainment team who were brilliant - super friendly and enthusiastic. 2 restaurants, one of which was always open for food or drinks at all times. The area itself is quite remote so plan to travel for a better equipped shop as the shop on site, while great for emergencies, isn't stocked substantially. 5 mins walk to the tram station with easy access to Alicante, Benidorm and everywhere in between.

Pros: Overall good value. Easy beach access. Great ocean views. The resort was clean and well maintained. Very spacious penthouse apartment. The kids club (although humble) was nice. The two employees working there did a good job. In fact, customer service was good everywhere at the resort. The restaurant is a bit pricy, but good food at a convenient location. Cons: Not close to nearby shopping/attractions/etc. You’ll need a rental car. The distance to shopping is compounded by the fact that the resort’s shoppette is terribly limited and overpriced. Also, the pool area is small for how big the resort is. The pool is located such that it only looks out to the resort. Thus, no poolside views to speak of despite the resort being surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. Next, they don’t honestly have a gym/fitness center. It’s essentially a closet with a couple machines. Looking back on all my travels in my life, it’s the worst hotel gym I’ve ever seen. Finally, the apartment had some quirks. The most notable one is that our balcony door (which leads to an upstairs patio) only opened from the inside. If people were upstairs on the penthouse patio, and someone inside the apartment closed the door, the people upstairs would be stuck up there until someone inside the apartment opened the door again. Not an ideal set up, especially since the doors have to be closed for the air conditioning to turn on. The good definitely outweighs the bad, but there is room for improvement.

Wonderful views right on the beach..Nice pools ..clean and well maintained. Nice food in bars and restaurants. Car advisable. Very comfy beds and superb terraces. Well equippied Would have liked someone around to greet us though as we arrived at midnight. Terrible air con throughout our stay unfortunately Staff friendly

The apartments are clean & quite comfortable & the resort itself is fine. The restaurant is very good with friendly & helpful staff. The bar is ok. The shop is not great & the gym is a disgrace, really poor. The beach was dirty, it’s a public beach but the resort could sweep it of litter easily & it would be much better. Reception had one very helpful man but the rest were uncooperative. One woman was just plain rude. Pools are ok but the block C “exclusive” pool is tiny & not exclusive. The website promises more than it delivers.
