Amazing stay at this hostel. The staff was super friendly and I felt like at home. The location is super calm and close to old Town.

I had two persons room in the northern corner of the building. The room is spacious with large bathroom and a corridor and built-in wardrobe. The hotel is nicely decorated and well maintained. The balcony was towards south-east, not very large with a table and two chairs. But as wind in El Medano is always strong and comes from the east it was not comfortable to use it, also WiFi doesn't work on the balcony and part of the room away from the corridor. There room has a fridge and electronic safety box, and TV. There are two electric sockets next to the beds, but unfortunately only one socket next to the table, which is already engaged by the fridge. The hotel staff speaks well English and is friendly. One can access the hotel either with electronic card or with PIN code of the main door and your room. The PINs are sent by email, so I suppose late arrival after 19.00, when reception closes, is possible. The hotel is located almost in the middle of El Medano, next to the only shopping center of the city featuring SuperDino and quite noisy bar. There is also smaller Supermercado Guai in 200 m. But take into accound El Medano is a very small town 1 km in diameter, so everything is in walking distance. El Medano beach is just in 300 m from the hotel. All beaches in El Medano and to the east of it are open for the wind. So they are mostly occupied by the surfers and kite-surfers. There is a small part of El Medano beach protected by the mole. 3 km to the west there is La Tejita beach, which is covered from the wind by the Montaña Roja, also offering great views over the area. There is buses 411 and 408 from El Medano going to San Isidro, where you can change to bus to the Southern Airport, other directions or do more substantial shopping in Mercadona, Lidl or HiperDino. San Isidro bus station has a machine for topping up Ten+ bus cards. In the evining people gather at Plaza del Medano, which is quite vibrant place taking into account the town is tiny comparing to Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas.

Super recommended, the Nest Hostel is located a few steps from the beach and very close to the bus stop. The hostel, in addition to being welcoming, organizes and offers many activities, including excursions, kitesurfing lessons, yoga classes, there is something for all tastes. Also included in the price is an extra-large breakfast with home-made products, such as homemade bread and homemade cakes. Coming to the Nest Hostel was like being in a big family, I will definitely be back!

We arrived 27/9, family of 4 adult ladies. We had booked a 2 bedroom apartment and were delighted to be shown to a newly refurbished 2 bed, 2 bathroom, 2 balcony apartment in J block. It was absolutely ideal for us, lots of space, everything clean and new. There was even a filtered water tap. Couldn’t fault it. The complex itself is lovely with lots of bars serving excellent food, drink and entertainment. Highlights are Sunday & Wednesday afternoon entertainment in the square and the excellent quiz nights in the sun inn. You’re also a short stroll to the beach and shops if venturing out. Pools are lovely, yes you have to book a bed the day before but it wasn’t a problem and often spare beds can be found at the bottom pool. The top pool tended to be busier as that’s where the entertainment team are based. The complex does have plenty of stairs but we knew that when booking and there are plenty of friendly staff to help you up and down with luggage etc. We were able to keep the room on for a couple of hours on our last day at a charge of €10 per hour. We also used the excellent, clean, newly refurbished courtesy shower room in reception before leaving the resort. It was fabulous. Overall 10/10 from us. We’ll see you next year sunset bay.

Just returned from 10 days at the Vista Sur apartments. Lovely modern accommodation & right on the beach. Super clean & modern. All the staff we dealt with were friendly & very helpful. Loads of shops, bars & restaurants nearby & a 30 second stroll to the beach. Would highly recommend. They even delivered a bottle of Cava on my birthday & another bottle & some sweet treats for Christmas - such a lovely surprise. It’s the details that matter! Will definitely be back.

I was sceptical about my stay here due to the amount of mixed reviews but i couldn't really fault the hotel. It seems as though most reviews are from All Inclusive customers so maybe this is not recommended? We were bed & breakfast only. Starting with check in, we arrived around 2/3am due to a flight delay. The receptionist was not rude, he was extremely helpful. The hotel is in the middle of no where so we asked where the nearest shop was and he explained and marked it on a map for us to follow. Its a BP garage and its about a 15 minute walk and is 24 hours. We were in room 2089 with a pool view, room was very spacious. Bathroom, living area and separate bedroom. Room is cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. We only ate breakfast twice during our weeks stay as it wasn't very nice. Huge variety of pastries but in terms of hot food, your choice limited, mini hot dog sausages, beans, eggs and on the odd occasion hash browns but the quality was cheap and just overall, not nice. Always plenty of sun loungers available by the pool, music is played from 11-6 (or thereabouts) and there is always entertainment staff getting you involved with water sports etc. The pool bar is reasonably priced and they do lovely Pizza's! It is card only though, they do not take cash. Taxi into the main part of Las Americas is around 5 euro each way or if you go to Costa Adeje(highly recommend) it's between 6 & 8 euro. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and i don't have any complaints apart from the breakfast. The golf course view is STUNNING! The staff are lovely if you are patient with them.

Reception: Our checkin agent, Cesar, was extremely helpful. He even remembered us at check out and made a joke to us. Room / facilities: Room number 8327 is on the 3 floor and is fairly clean. There is a self control air conditioning with a balcony door that opens which overlooks the pool. The room has 2 single beds joined to make a king bed , unsupportive pillows, small flat screen TV, table with 2 chairs, a hanging area with a valuables safe inside, (the safe door swings open when not used, due to it being installed at an unlevel angle), the bathroom has a tub with shower, bidet and toilet (that constantly drips). After advising reception, a repair man visited, and strangely, INSTANTLY knew what the problem was as he entered the room. However after departing the room they failed to fix the constant drip. The toilet continued to drip during our stay. This constant drip is very annoying once you are aware if it. There is a small bar fridge, (but no tea or coffee facilities). Furniture is very dated and has suffered a lot of wear and tear over time. Parking: is available for free with 2 parking areas that accommodate approx 25 cars, for the 500+ rooms in the hotel. It seems that all open air parking (excluding parking garages) on the island are free of charge. Wifi: Complementary. On our first night the wifi was super mega slow and atrocious to use, and failed multiple times to open any website, even though its advertised as premium Wifi. The Wifi connection dropped out regularly, required multiple password re-input and was just super, super, super slow, even when trying on multiple devices. After 2 calls to reception the night of our arrival, there was nothing they could do until the technician could attend to the problem at 10.30am the following day. I had to resort to my 4G data to gain any connection. The wifi was functioning the next day. Breakfast: Included and available for all guests. The buffet style consisted of fruits, cereals, hot eggs (precooked or freshly cooked), sausages, bacon, crumbed chicken pieces, baked beans, cold meats, juices, pastries, breads, tea and coffee. Be aware of the human vultures that swarm the food, as if there was no possibility of refill. Conclusion: Great looking hotel from the outside and foyer areas, but walk into the room, you immediately step back 20 years into a tired dated room. Letdowns: Initially the wifi not functioning and dropping out, the constantly dripping toilet, poor/lack of in room amenities, tired furniture. As the foyer bar was closed, i rang reception and requested for and ice bucket to be delivered to the room, which would have incurred a €3 charge this to me is unacceptable. Previously, at the foyer bar, i asked for 2 glasses of ice, but could only receive one as the barman said “the ice machine is broken”. The hotel is lovely with fantastic views of the sea and local hospital! The pool was inviting a tad cold but that’s to be expected this time of year. We had a 3 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms big lounge and 6 sunbeds. The apartment needs some updating but the beds were very comfortable. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. We didn’t eat in the restaurant only drinks which were a bit pricey The rooms were not cleaned unless you asked them to be neither were the towels changed again unless you asked. We didn’t bother in the end and picked up new towels from reception. There are pool towels if you want them. If you want a takeaway reception will give you a menu which was very good There is a small supermarket up the hill for basics and if you are happy to walk 10mins up a hill the treehouse restaurant is a must. The biggest downfall is the location you can not walk into town due to it being on a main road. The accommodation is very close to the main road so always woken up by motorbikes and cars from 5am. Taxis are easy to get hold of through reception or you can try getting a bus either the 418 or 482 but the times are hit and miss. Overall if you want something out the way but very comfortable this is the place for you.
