Dolarog Beach Resort

Szczerze mówiąc, rodzina ma tylko wspaniałe krajobrazy. Krajobraz jest bardzo, bardzo ładny.Na plaży tego hotelu nie ma turystów, więc jest bardzo cicho i prywatnie. Lokalizacja jest daleko i transport jest niewygodny. Nadaje się, jeśli chcesz po prostu odpocząć, ale jeśli chcesz nurkować tak jak my, bardziej kłopotliwe byłoby pójście do miasta, żeby coś zjeść. Obsługa jest absolutnie okropna. Mają miłe podejście, ale naprawdę nie rozumieją ludzi. To dość szokujące. Reszta w miarę ok. Jeśli jedziesz na wakacje i jesteś w dobrym humorze to nie przejmuj się tym hahaha

Bardzo relaksujące miejsce

This is a bit of a special place. The hotel is right at its own private beach. It‘s very isolated from everything else which can be nice if you don‘t want to leave the hotel at all. We wanted to go to the town some evenings and that is a bit of a challenge. You first have to take a golf car (which only runs until 10pm) and then change into a tricycle. The tricycles won‘t go directly to the hotel because the last bit of the road is too steep and winded. The other option is to walk along the beach for 20 minutes instead of using the golf car for the last bit, which we did a couple of times. It‘s not too dangerous but there are stray dogs. The food in the hotel restaurant was Italian and just ok, nothing amazing. The service was not great. Two women seem to know how to run a hotel but the rest of the staff were rather useless. They often seemed annoyed, even when we were just ordering food. We once asked about the zipline that is literally next door and they didn‘t know anything about it (price, time, how to get there). They organised a tour for us, which was great, but messed up the booking somehow so the tour guide thought we were only two people instead of four, which resulted in less food for lunch. And then they even charged us more for the tour. Our room was fine. Clean and no bugs. Yes, you can hear everything but we didn‘t mind that. The room was only made up on request though. The whole area is beautiful but there were a few things that annoyed us. So I wouldn‘t come back.

Spędziłem wakacje w Dolarog Beach z moją dziewczyną przez 6 dni. Jeśli szukasz egzotycznego, na uboczu, spokojnego miejsca na plaży, z bardzo przyjazną i uprzejmą obsługą, z pewnością pokochasz Dolarog Beach Resort. Ale jeśli łączność z Internetem i klimatyzacja są koniecznością (tak jak było w moim przypadku), zastanów się dwa razy nad tym ośrodkiem. Chociaż we wspólnym obszarze (w restauracji/barze) jest bezpłatne WiFi, nie mogłem pobrać filmu i ledwo wysłałem służbowy e-mail. Chociaż w pokoju był klimatyzator, był on prawie nieskuteczny, ponieważ pokój/bungalow nie miał izolacji (jeśli boisz się robaków i przerażających pełzaczy, będziesz miał trudności z relaksem w tym ośrodku). W kuchni było dobre jedzenie, ale chociaż kocham zwierzęta, psy w jadalni odebrały mi radość z jedzenia, a moja tolerancja została nadwyrężona.

A little off the beaten track, well actually a long way off the beaten track but an amazing location. The hotel does advise access to the location is via a steep road and local taxis, trikes, etc will not go there. However the hotel does provide a free shuttle using golf carts. We had one of the beach front bungalows which was literally 10 steps from the water. Good size room with a full size tub and separate shower with rainfall shower. Large comfortable bed and good a/c. Large flat screen TV with satellite channels. Breakfast available daily with a choice of international or Filipino food. Good coffee. In the evening the restaurant served a variety of international dishes but they do prefer you to order in advance. A reasonable selection of beer , wine and spirits are available. The staff are very helpful and friendly and happy to accommodate any special requests. The hotel can arrange tours and scuba diving trips. It also has it's own power boat which can be rented , complete with driver.

The only advantage this place has is location. I say this because there is a beautiful view and beach water front. The cabanas are old and need refurbishing. The bathroom tiles are broken and the water pressure is poor. They are dark, dirty, and uninviting. The pool area is almost unusable. The furniture has no cushions and looks old and weather beaten. The pool water is straight out of the sea and is so cloudy I question the bacterial health of the water. Although the staff is friendly we never really knew who to ask for what. Always trying to find someone to answer our questions. Food service is disorganized. Simple thing like water, salt/pepper, hot water, napkins have to be sought after. The only way to get off property is a rocky road by golf cart (10 min) or 20 minute walk down the beach to the vanilla beach area. Neither of these are a good idea after dark, so you are pretty much stuck here for dinners. For the price I think there is better value elsewhere.

Love love love this resort! The stay and hospitality was more personalized! The staff were all accommodating and friendly and easy to deal with! We had the romantic dinner at the dock with a beautiful setup. This place is very underrated out of all the resorts in El Nido seems like. Nothing can beat the calmness and relaxing environment after going around town. Our vacation felt really slow and breathable in this place which was all we could ever ask for. Thank you Dolarog! We are definitely coming back!

Poor management of staff and facilities is why I rated the resort a fail. Shabby, dirty, worn out furniture, non functioning rusty game room for example. We stayed 10 nights with the swimming pool only usable for two of those days. The sea water flushing pump is totally inadequate. It takes two days to drain and another four days to refill with cloudy sea water and the cycle is repeated. Also there is real danger of falling coconuts with or without wind.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon there. We had a wonderful time it was exactly what we had hoped it would be and then some. The restaurant is excellent staff,food,service etc. For me I have no problem with pets but i must say when I'm having dinner i'm not a fan of having a dog resting his chin on my table while I'm eating. The pets shouldn't be allowed to roam around the restaurant while you're guests are trying to enjoy their meal.I think many of your future guests would feel the same way. And for some it might be a deal breaker for retutun bussiness as well as referrals. As for us we just asked the staff to take the dogs away from our table and they quickly did so. Just our thoughts.
