I had read about this hotel, and reviews were very good. They are exactly right! We had a beautiful king size room with ensuite bath. The Victorian furniture is gorgeous and the bed was comfy. The room itself was just so welcoming. The owner, Chris McCord, had his mother greet us and show us to our room. The building has been lovingly restored by Chris and an impressive list of volunteers. Rooms are on the second floor (and there are many steps to get there!). There are maybe four or five rooms. All have use of a parlor and a breakfast room. Both are charming! There is good wifi, also. In the morning, the kitchen has a Keurig, granola bars, individual muffins, fruit cups, yogurt, individual fruit, and yogurt. Whenever you are ready for breakfast, it is at your disposal. There is also a microwave and refrigerator you may use. Chris gave us a history of the area, and the next morning, we took a tunnel tour of the tunnel system underground that was built by Bavarian immigrants and parts can be viewed today. The Wolf has a dining room, but that is closed on certain days. They also have an underground prohibition bar which is only open Friday and Saturday. The town of Wilson is very small. For dinner on Sunday night, we had Casey's Pizza on their deck. Built in the 1890s, this is a part of history we got to use as our home base. Beautiful room and very clean. I'd stay here again!
