Awa Resort is a nice place to stay at. The staff is very friendly and the area around the hotel is quite spacious and clean, good for long walks if one prefer. It has a small gym, huge court for playing volleyball and other ball games, very nice swimming pool, and even a children's playground. You can also enjoy the nice scenery around the hotel and especially of the nearby river.
Things to improve? Not every room is provided with a coffee maker; my wasn't.

Our stay was a brief single night, but we left with a good impression of this hotel. It's a large, modern hotel that lacks the ambiance of some of the older, colonial style hotels that you can find in the region. The breakfast buffet was particularly good. Service in the restaurant and in the reception was friendly and efficient.

The hotel was great, but there was little things throughout the stay that made it not so great. There was an outlet cover missing and there were loud people outside drinking until after midnight. The shower door leaked, and the water didn't drain well from the bathroom floor. This left us with a wet towel in the bathroom floor. The chairs are limited around the pool, and most often there wasn't a lot of people, but all the chairs had towels reserving them. There were a few other little things that were minor but aggregating. It's unfortunate, because it would take very much to have made it a perfect vacation.

It was an amazing experience. The hotel is very nice but some details can be done to provide a perfect and complete experience. It was a winter weekend getaway but without many offers for activities to be done at the facillity.
