Sunset Hotel Entebbe

Customer service is excellent, facilities are really good, management is perfect. The hotel WiFi is fast, was able to work while I waited for my flight, and hotel provided complimentary trip to and from the airport. Area is peaceful and quiet, makes a nice place to have a walk for the scenery.

Everything is so good and infact it wasn't what I expected but to my surprise it was too perfect,very well organized with good sites for snapping.And as well I would also advise those who are still having doubts that you'll be amazed like me🌞

We had to make an emergency stop in Uganda for health reasons and stayed here for three nights. The rooms were quiet, spacious and clean and the beds were very comfy. The owners were attentive and the staff friendly. The grilled chicken was delicious! They provide reasonably priced taxi services and a free airport transfer. It's a family business and it shows; we would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are big and in good shape, also clean. The bathrooms are a little shabby and the shower is not made for long showers and not for long hair. The water is just missing. The beds are really hard, but that seamed a problem all over Uganda. The food is good, but the service is not the best. We didn't feel as if anyone has a real interest to serve us or to understand what we really wanted. And the end the plate was not exactly what we have ordered, but ok, we were on holidays and there is no stress. What we missed the most is a place to stay outside in the garden. There are two gardens and nice ones, but you can't sit anywhere and relax, just inside, where it is not very nice, because you have no windows there. So we went outside walking, but you are not in a very interesting neigbourhood and you have to walk along the main road till the center. Over all we would definitively choose another hotel in Entebbe!

Just a one night stay on arrival in Entebbe. Close enough to walk to the market & Botanical gardens. Pleasant grounds, good service, ok rooms and a nice range of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Overall a great start to our Ugandan adventure!

In January 2022, I spent 2 weeks at this wonderful hotel while I was quarantining with a mild case of COVID. I had to delay my departure several times due to COVID & to flight cancellations. The staff and proprietors were so kind, helpful and flexible, that they turned an uncertain time into a relaxed, restful and healing interlude. I wish I could give them more stars and I will definitely stay there again when I return to Uganda. The Sunset Hotel is located on a quiet and safe street near the airport and in walking distance to markets and the shore of Lake Victoria. The rooms are lovely and well appointed, with an incredibly comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, always hot water and a good shower. Many have patios and access to 2 pretty gardens with mango trees and flowers. Breakfast is included with hot and nutritious food. There’s a restaurant on site for daily meals with both a European and Ugandan menu. Very highly recommended for either a short or longer stay.
