La Casa del Ghiberti B&B

Casa Ghiberti is a gem of a find just around the corner from the Duomo. We stayed for 4 nights. It's perfectly situated for all the main attractions in Florence while still being tucked away from the crowds and the bustle of the centre. The room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable and huge. The proprietor, Andrea, was a wonderful host and treated us to a very comfortable stay and ensured we saw all the relevant sights. Breakfast was perfectly continental, with tasty treats and good coffee. It's also within a stones throw of great restaurants and eateries. Thoroughly recommend Casa Ghiberti for a genuine Florentine experience.....much more personal than a hotel. Best to contact and book direct.

Everything was great about La Casa del Ghiberti, the location was only 200m from the Duomo, but felt like it was secluded and completely away from crowds. The hotel was small but perfect, great rooms, lovely atmosphere. The host, Andrea, was amazing. Made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and couldn't have been more helpful and honest. Oh, and Lola was great too ;)

When we originally booked this gorgeous B&B, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Even before we arrived, we were impressed by the communication from Andrea who was super helpful with how to reach the hotel. Once we were there, the B&B gave a really cool vibe and the rooms are bigger than what you get in most places in Europe. Great bed, great host and a lovely breakfast. The B&B is very close to the Duomo and all the main sights are walkable within 15 mins to the Palazzo Pitti. We stayed 5 nights and I wished I stayed longer. Andrea is very helpful if you get stuck on where to go outside Florence as there is so much to see and visit. I am now looking forward to our second visit to the La Casa del Ghiberti

Wonderful central location so you can walk everywhere. Comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. Andrea our host was so incredibly helpful- he made great suggestions for local restaurants, booked day trips for us and even took requests for breakfast the night before. When we left some of our things behind at checkout Andrea even posted them onto us without hesitation. I would highly recommend this B & B.

Beautiful experience in any respect! Excellent position, excellent breakfast with home-made pastry of very high level, clean room and bathroom, modern equipment, wifi working properly, warm welcome. The host, Andrea, is very kind, nice and always willing to help and get the best from your stay. Looking forward to our next stay!

We spent amazing five days in Florence and stayed at the Casa de Ghiberti. This B&B is truly fantastic. The location is absolutely top, around the corner from famous Duomo. It has a very homey feeling, rooms are spectaculalry clean and have all the amenities. You dont have to worry about visiting in colder months, you can control the room temperature and bathroom is very nicely heated. Breakfast has a very good selection, great coffee and you also get amazing egg omellet if you wish. Andrea is very friendly and will give you advice about anything in Florence. :) We plan to visit Florence again and will definitely be staying in Casa de Ghiberti.

What a wonderful place to stay. Andrea is a fantastic host who manages his excellent business with a real passion and helped us get the very best experience from fabulous Florence. Our room was perfectly clean and very quiet given the central location of the property. Quadruple glazing helps. Very large and comfortable bed, lots of coat hangers, small fridge, excellent internet and internet enabled Tv and a small safe. The bathroom was large, modern and spotlessly clean. Shampoo and body wash were provided. Breakfast is simple but sufficient given how many good places there are to eat close by. Andrea recommended Zio Gigi’s for dinner. It’s just a short walk, but a must for anyone who likes good food and wine with lashings of atmosphere. He also recommended the first floor of the Central Market. This is a great experience. Very special. Yes there are building works that are noisy, but work starts after 9am. The stairs aren’t well lit and the old elevator is an “interesting” experience.

5 stars! + a million stars! The bed is large and comfortable, firm but also soft?! It was the first time in a long time that our joints didn't hurt when we woke up. The breakfast is an outstanding continental breakfast with many lovely touches, including the pot of coffee, made well and strong, for the Americans. :) The bathroom is spacious, with a great-water pressure open shower on a stone floor on one side where the water is contained, drains off, and the floor does not become slippery. The owner, Andrea, made us feel right at home. He recommended a fantastic legit local restaurant, and helped to make our reservation, for the best ever Florentine steak, actually thick and pink and delicious. That meal, as well as our stay here, are big highlights of our time in Florence. This B&B is homey, comfortable, and incredibly located, it's just around the corner from the Duomo. And very reasonably priced, which is a true find in Florence. You go up two half-flights of stairs to reach the B&B, not enough steps to think about counting them, maybe 28. We have found our spot in Florence, this is where we will always stay when we are lucky enough to visit this fabulous city. We are thankful for Andrea, and also for other Trip Advisor reviewers who led us to this spot. Highly recommend.

The Best B&B to stay at in Florence. You get the best location, the best host and a great rate when you stay at La Casa Del Ghiberti B&B. The only thing we would change is we stayed for two nights and the next time we would stay for a third night. Andrea has great local knowledge and was very helpful to make our stay enjoyable.
