Hotel Cestelli

The hosts were very friendly. I was only in the city for two nights but my host took the time to map out all the major attractions in the city, some that were away from the city center and gave me the best recommendations for where to eat(where the locals eat). Great experience!

Just beautiful, a historic Firenze hotel. The hosts could not have been kinder. The room and bath were clean and spacious. Located in a nice area for walking about getting a meal. I highly recommend Hotel Cestelli!

For a 1-star hotel, I believe we received great value. The caretakers Allesendro and Asumi were top-notch welcoming and friendly. No TV in room but gives one more incentive to go outside and take in the vibes of Firenze. Our room was very clean, no air conditioning but the little electric fan seemed to do the trick. Overall, I was very pleased. Thank you Alessandro and Asumi for making our stay and experience possible.

Absolutely fabulous little independent hotel. Location is truly perfect! I could not have chosen a better location - right in the heart of Florence. Opera busker on the doorstep and the hotel itself was calm and quiet and quaint. Alessio and Asumi were kind, friendly and welcoming - perfect hosts. The room was large and spacious with a fan to keep cool. The shared bathroom was clean and no issue. I would highly recommend Hotel Cestelli to others, and even return myself. Thank you Alessio and Asumi.

This is the place to stay for budget travellers in Florence. For a budget option, you couldn’t ask for a better location, very clean, safe, and incredibly kind and helpful owners!

Location is a gorgeous early medieval building in walking distance from much of Florence's most popular attractions such as the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery. Staff were approachable, easy to talk with and courteous, even lending me a hand when my flight got cancelled.

An above average basic amenities hotel. Very clean, perfect location, tastefully decorated, friendly & knowledgeable owners, reasonably priced for Florence location. I would be happy to return

I had a great stay at the Hotel Cestelli. It’s on a side street a few minutes the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. The owner and his wife kept the place spotless and clean. Yes, it was a pain having to share a bathroom and toilet with other guests. Fortunately it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience. Most of the time I didn’t have to wait to use the facilities. The water pressure wasn’t the best for getting showered but after letting the tap run the water was ok. September /October was unseasoned warm so there were a few mosquitoes in Florence. The owner provided me with a plug in Mosquito deterrent that worked for me. I wasn’t bitten in the room. There was some outside noise but not enough to cause me any issues with sleep quality. The best part of this Hotel is it’s location right in the heart of the historical area. The owner and his wife were very helpful with local knowledge and nothing was too much trouble for them to do. Taking into account the rating of the Hotel, the helpfulness of the owner and his wife as well as the price I paid for staying in the historical quarter, it’s location close to most of the sights, I would have no hesitation staying here again.
