This hotel is a quick 10 minute walk from the train station and 5 minute walk to the Mercato Centrale. The room was very comfortable although the bathroom a bit small (no place to put your stuff). Nice and quiet compared to areas closer to the Duomo. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Florence.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this beautiful hotel. It was very central to all the amazing attractions that Florence has to offer. The location is also great for a wide range of restaurants and bars. As a 60yr old woman travelling alone I felt very safe during my stay and even with my mobility issues found I could walk to most places of interest. The nearest station is very close by and easy to find. Breakfast each morning was fabulous, fresh and the staff immaculately presented, helpful and friendly. My room was just right with everything I could need and I found it quiet at night. The staff in reception were very kind and helpful. I loved this hotel it was tasteful and beautiful and I hope to visit again someday perhaps. If anyone asks me where they should stay in Florence I shall tell them Hotel Palazzo Benci!

I stayed here for 2 nights for a work conference. The hotel lobby is really lovely and they have a beautiful little atrium to sit out in (or work from in my case!). My bedroom was small but comfortable and had everything I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. Why I marked it down though is I found the room incredibly noisy. Firstly the hotel is located in a busy part of the city, so noise goes on until late at night and you really can't have your window open as a result. Secondly, where my room was located on the 1st floor, it right by the breakfast room, so it starts to get extremely noisy from about 6am when staff are preparing the breakfast room and then guests start to go in and make coffees etc. The doors to the breakfast room are wide open and all the noise goes straight into your bedroom. As a result I did not get much sleep during my stay here. A real shame because otherwise it's a lovely hotel.

Great find, lovely little hotel. Room was clean if functional but location location location. 10mins leisurely walk from Doumo and station 15 to Piazza del Signori . restaurants abundant locally and down the street from a great indoor food market Staff brilliant and great breakfast

After checking into our room in early May, we attempted to turn on the air conditioning (A/C) as it was hot in the room, 25-26 C (77-80 F). When we could only generate additional heat, we called the front desk. We were informed there was no A/C, as the hotel had not yet turned the A/C on for the season. We asked the front desk how we were to cool our room. We were told to "Open the windows". We were surprised at this solution as there are no screens on the windows. Figuring they knew the area, we opened the windows as suggested only to get attacked by mosquitos. We ended up closing the windows and enduring the heat the remainder of our stay, without even a ceiling fan to provide air movement. I had specifically checked the hotel's website prior to booking to make certain they had A/C. We had 3 miserable nights with very little sleep and will never stay at this hotel again.

This is a sweet little hotel in a great location, perfect for easy access to the train and the tram to the airport, (only a 5 minutes walk). It is also central for sightseeing with a huge selection of restaurants within 5 minutes. The staff was friendly and super helpful, Our room was clean and comfortable, overlooking the square which was fairly busy but not noisy. The room comes with a safe, a refrigerator and closet with hangers. Breakfast was OK but could us more variety, and fresh fruit. If I could improve anything it would be to include face cloths and a shelf to put soap or shampoo in the shower. The bed could have been a bit softer. All in all a very good experience.

This hotel was in a great location close to the train station ( 8 minute walk) and close to key attractions. Room was nicely furnished with a nice mattress. Only issue is room was very warm due to no A/C available during our stay which made sleeping difficult. Only other minor issue is shower was very small.

Fantastic hotel, perfectly placed for a easy tram transfer from the airport, less than 10 min walk from the last stop. Very friendly staff, especially the English gentleman working there. Our room was recently renovated and was top notch, brand new everything. The bathroom, small but excellent and the shower was brilliant. The room (409) top floor over looked the Medici Chapel and a small square that had a cafe and restaurant. Once the excellent double glazed windows were closed it blocked out 99% of the street noise. The hotel is located perfectly for exploring the city, just around the corner the market and leather market. The Duomo is 5 min walk away. Breakfast is wonderful, great selection and what a beautiful room to have breakfast in. All the staff were extremely pleasant and always smiling. I wouldn't normally write a review but this hotel and staff definitely deserve a good review. Can not recommend enough.

The hotel made a crucial contribution to our wonderful short vacation! The friendliness of the staff, the top location, the cleanliness, the delicious breakfast and just a 5-minute walk to the airport - fantastic. Of course, such a centrally located hotel is not in a quiet location. However, the super-insulated double windows combined with one of the best air conditioning systems of all time make the city trip unrivaled in comfort. We were absolutely happy after four nights and can only warmly recommend Palazzo Benci. However, if you are traveling by car, you should definitely find out beforehand about access routes and times, as well as parking options.
