Overall not that nice, below average in terms of cleanliness and service. Overpriced for what you get, which is basically nothing, and regreted it even more when I found out much better hotels and apar**ents in the area at a lower price.

Spent a fantastic 6 nights at Sunrise Apar**ents in Crete this June. Booked this holiday quite last minute with my partner for a bargain price so wasn't entirely sure what to expect, especially after reading some of these other negative reviews but we have a fab time! We arrived at the hotel very late (2-3am ish??) but were still met by someone in the reception to answer any questions we had and show us to our room. In the morning, we paid the tourist tax (only 3 euros!) and also paid for AC. The staff were very lovely and made us feel very welcome. We paid extra for the breakfast each morning which was lovely with a wide variety of hot food, yogurt, cakes, breads and jams etc and fresh orange juice. Its clearly a family run hotel but that made the experience even more genuine and comfortable having the family eating as well. The pool was nice and big with very few other guests in it most days - we often were the only ones by the pool and in the pool. Our room was also perfectly suitable, maybe slightly dated but very traditional greek looking, clean and had enough space for all our clothes and extras bits. Our balcony had a beautiful view as well, of both the sea and the mountains. The entire hotel was covered in different plants and flowers and overall was very aesthetic looking. The only faults which make us rate this hotel 4 instead of 5 stars was the lack of pool cleaning. Most days, there were lots of dead bugs in the pool which we fished out ourselves as best we could. The pool is surrounded by lots of greenery so it does make sense why there was so many bugs floating about but maybe just needed more attentive netting and cleaning of the pool tiles. Overall, this hotel is fantastic and we would definitely go again. There are some lovely little taverns near by and a pretty beach. There is also a supermarket within walking distance but would HIGHLY recommend also driving because there are so many things to see and do outside of walking distance. Our favourite recommendations for places to visit not too far would be Kalypso beach, Kourtaliotiko gorge and a day out in Plakias. + there were some rams, sheep and goats which would visit the surrounding area of the hotel - very cute!

The hotel is clean, quiet, quite small, has a nice small pool & is within 2 minutes walk of the beach. The menu was quite restricted & expensive. There are only maybe 2 shops in the vicinity, although there are some nice places to eat. The nearest A** is in Plakias, ~10km away. If you want to stay here you will definitely need your own transport due to its distance from towns, no local bus, the state of some of the roads, the hilliness & the cost of taxis - the 20 minute drive from Plakias to the hotel costs 25 EUR - for 10km! The aircon was extra & costs 7 EUR/ day.

Ok. Let's start from the beginning. 1. The hotel together with one booking website ripped us off for breakfasts. Room only on our dates cost 135 GBP, with breakfast 192 GBP. I chose the option with breakfasts (I wouldn't book the hotel without), paid 194 GBP (currency difference), and received confirmation with room only! I spoke with Destinia and they refused to give me what I paid for but that's another story... Obviously, prices were set by the hotel owner who knew about what prices he set. Ok, even if it was mispriced (but I don't think so) I asked to give my money back so I can book another hotel. No - they said. They refused to give us breakfasts. Thieves! 2. Arrogant owners and you feel there like they constantly watch you, somebody sits there all the time and looks into our balcony. Completely no privacy! And "don't do this, don't do that"... 4. Loud and noise from the kitchen behind the wall and in the corridor from 6 am... 3. Stinking bathroom. All the time. Keep the fan going if you don't want that smell in your room. No curtain at the shower so the bathroom is all wet after a shower. Broken toilet - water constantly flushing - you have to open the lid to fix it. Disgusting. 4. The best part now. On the last night, I spotted a rat on our balcony - it went to the hole and the corner, probably leading somewhere to the kitchen, cause it was behind the wall. The next morning it was lying dead on our balcony. Asked the owner to remove it - "oh" - she said - that's it. No sorry, nothing... So happy that we didn't eat these breakfasts there... 5. A little frog in the room on the first day. Cute though but still... Fortunately, we stayed there only 4 nights out of 14. Guys, honestly, don't book it if you don't want your holiday to be ruined. The worst place we have ever been to.

Very nice pretty quiet small apar**ent block with clean pool. Clean beach 2 minutes walk from it and more beaches 10 minutes around, where you find plenty of restaurants and bar and supermarkets. Good breakfast with fresh Cretan products, as well as normal eggs/bacon, in a beautiful setting Very friendly family that owns and runs it. Room and everything cleaned well every day. I would recommend them for family holiday, as well as couples who are not looking for nightclubs. We look forward to go back.

We were warmly welcomed by our host who showed us to one of the cleanest most well-maintained rooms we've ever stayed in in Greece. Balcony with proper chairs and table...washing line to dry you wet towels. Kettle etc in room. Everything you'd expect and more. We were told we could book breakfast or dinner with them if we wanted. We went out for an explore for the afternoon. When we came back and sat by the beautifully kept pool (the family are constantly lifting out petals and leaves) we were given home grown eating grapes to enjoy and then a meze plate of fried pumpkin which was delicious so we decided to book breakfast it's €7. After a very comfortable nights sleep we were greeted warmly at breakfast and directed to a simply amazing help yourself spread....there were eggs, bacon some unbelievably delicious sausage then about 10 different home made cakes and pastries, yoghurt, honey (their own!) Cheeses, croissants, bread (home made again) then jewel in the crown...the home made jam! We were told that she uses their honey to make it rather than sugar. It was outstanding! Tea, coffee and juices all available too. We barrel rolled ourselves off to the beach for the day after booking dinner with them which we were told was a meze bbq ...it didn't disappoint! Bread, Greek Salad, tzatziki and a plate of fabulous charcoal cooked meat & some fried potatoes then home made honey themed pastries for dessert...just wonderful! This is €15 pp A delightful example of Cretan Hospitality.

Small family hotel with cozy rooms, delicious breakfast with local specialties, great hospitality, clean swimming pool. Just a few meters from the beach/restaurants. One of the best places to relax. I will certainly come back!!!

Hotel proche des plages et bien situé pour des randonnées. Bon confort de la literie mais vétusté des locaux.dommage que par fort vent les appartements ne sont pas étanches.!(revoir fermeture des fenêtres) Piscine et jacuzzi agréable sur balcon Très bon petit déjeuner servi par l ensemble de la famille avec des produits maison.
