I just checked out from the hotel after a 4 night stay. It was a very unpleasant experience to find out that the “complimentary drinks” we were given at the time we checked in were charged to our room. In addition, the young girl at the front desk that checked us in did not at all mention a resort fee. All she said was “you will get the money back” at the time she asked for a cc for the security deposit. She was also the same person that checked us out and handed us a bill of $215 dollars explaining there was a resort fee per day and the charge for the daily complimentary drinks. I am not fighting the resort fee, if there is one there is one. However, I would’ve appreciated better customer service and to fully and honestly explain the way they operate. The complimentary drinks are something I do fully feel blindsided about because at no time did we ask for anything complimentary, it was given to us only to find out at checkout they charge for it? That sounds very dumb and unprofessional. We tried to speak to the manager, Ryan, who was supposed to be in at 8am today, but he was still not in at 10:50am when we checked out. This property needs to train their employees better and to fully disclose what they are doing. Omitting information to customers is not okay. Under training staff is unprofessional.
