We arrived at the B&B about 5:30, after our longest day on the trail (75 miles), and the climb from Cumberland. Jason was extremely helpful in getting us settled and in providing suggestions for dinner at local restaurants as well as specific directions to get to them. Breakfast the next morning was great, and got us out the door and back on the trail earlier than usual. The house is beautiful, and the room I stayed in was great; best nights sleep I had the whole trip.

We stayed for 1 night with friends as we had booked a Tracks and Yak trip the next day. The trail house is in an excellent location with easy access to everything. We could have walked but drove as it was extremely hot that day. The room was very clean and comfortable. The window Air Conditioner worked well and the beds in the Depot room (we had 2) were fine. Jason gives you multiple choices for breakfast and you place your order the night before along with when you wish to eat. The food was very good and the other couple we met at breakfast was very nice. It turned out they had booked the same activity as us. Not much else to say - it was a nice, easy stay and very quiet which is important to me as I'm a light sleeper. Good value for the money.

We did not stay at this BNB however we hiked up to Frostburg to check it out as Jason was our contact. He was knowledgeable and helpful from start to finish. He shuttled us -on time - from Cumberland to Pittsburg . He gave helpful tips in the planning process. Highly recommended!

Frostburg was the halfway point to meet some friends. We stayed at the Allegheny Trail House for 3 nights. What better place to stay than in such a beautiful and historical home. The house was clean and located close to downtown so most most restaurants were within walking distance. Jason is a fabulous host and a wealth of information. When we told restaurants in other towns where we were staying we found that everyone know him and speaks very highly of his business. One day we chose ride our bikes on the GAP trail. Jason provided transportation to Meyersdale to start our ride and picked us up 32 miles down the trail in Cumberland. The price was reasonable compared to other B&Bs. We would happily stay here again.

Rooms were very clean - bathroom and bedroom. Breakfast was amazing. Nice place to lock up bikes. Very comfortable lounge area - also a refrigerator to store your power beverages for the next day. Lots of walk-able places to eat and shop. Parking in front and behind. Also a place to wash your bike. The exit from the trail in Frostburg is complicated but doable. VERY hilly!!! Charming community. Chloe and Jason were top notch hosts.

This was our third GAP trip in which we stayed with Jason. As we did last year we booked the night before our west to east GAP ride, used his shuttle service the next morning to Boston trailhead and returned for a night after finishing in Cumberland. This is obviously more complicated than staying in Cumberland, but we love the Trail House and Frostburg. Rooms are very nice, common spaces are beautifully restored to the appropriate time period, and the breakfast is expertly prepared and ample. My wife and I split up an order of eggs and an order of pancakes. As Jason’s shuttle is 100% reliable and the existence of a bike rental could be helpful. Based on conversations, there are many return guests who are not riding and love the Allegheny Trail House.

Jason and Chloe were nice hosts. The room was plenty large, clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Frost room which had a private balcony. Jason runs shuttle services for the bike trail (GAP and C&O Tow Path), which we were grateful for not having to bike round trip. There was also a locked shed to keep our bikes in out of the weather . Only one negative, I didn't realize breakfast would be vegan and would have liked to have known up front as I'm not a fan of meat substitutes. Yogurt parfait was delicious.

Jason is an excellent host. The place was much better than expected. Chloe did an excellent job cleaning the room. Emily was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, including vegan options. Very convenient parking. Very close to all area attractions.

The (vegan) breakfast was very good. Don't know about alternatives, but a very steep climb up from the Great Alleghany Passage bike trail at the end of a long ride. Disconcerted to arrive at inn to learn that we had to go around block to rear of inn (up another hill!) to park our bikes. The room was nice, and the shower was nice, though small. Walking distance to commercial district with (apparently) many dining options.
