Hotel bardzo ładny, niezbyt duży i klimatyczny. Pokoje bardzo czyste, dość ładnie urządzone. W pokojach trochę brakowało dodatkowy gniazdek do ładowania urządzeń elektronicznych, więc warto zabrać ze soba rozgałęziacz i jakiś krótki przedłużacz. Przy hotelu znajduje się bardzo ładny, zadbany ogród oraz basen i leżaki. Personel każdego dnia wprawnie i niezauważalnie dba o porządek w pokojach oraz częściach wspólnych. Znajduje się tutaj również bardzo ładna restauracja oraz bar z profesjonalną obsługę. Całość hotelu jak i personel oceniam bardzo wysoko z jednym wyjątkiem. Mianowicie jakoś wyżywienia. Śniadania serwowane w formie szwedzkiego stołu są skandalicznie ubogie i przygotowywane z najtańszych produktów. Na domiar złego, asortyment śniadaniowy poza tym że jest bardzo ubogi to się nie zmienia. Podobny problem występuje w tak zwanych obiadokolacjach. Brak jakichkolwiek opcji wyboru, Menu jest bardzo biedne, pozbawione lokalnych potraw i tak samo wykonane z najtańszych produktów. Dla przykładu: sałatka z owoców morza to nic innego jak sałata, cebula, tarta marchew, paluszki krabowe tzw. surimi i odrobina sosu. Do obiadokolacji nie są przewidziane żadne napoje. Za wszystko trzeba dodatkowo płacić. Szklanka soku pomarańczowego kosztuje 4 € Reasumując, wyżywienie w tym hotelu to jedna wielka porażka. Na szczęście w okolicy nie brakuje bardzo dobrych kawiarni i restauracji. Gdyby nie to fatalne wyżywienie to wystawiłbym prawdopodobnie maksymalną ocenę.

I was really happy with my stay as a solo traveller. I booked a cheap and cheerful jet 2 package and I wasn’t disappointed. Pool area and terraces lovely. I didn’t eat breakfast as I knew it would not be up to my standard, on viewing it one morning this was confirmed. Room lovely, proper wooden floors and marble in the bathroom. If this is not your thing then you will probably be disappointed. Location great much better than most of the other newer hotels. My 1 complaint is the pillows!!! They are the worst I have ever had the misfortune to sleep on. Honestly they should have been thrown out years ago. I kicked myself for not bringing my own as a previous post highlighted this issue. Would I stay here again - definitely

Booked in today, writing this review on my first evening, this place is absolutely terrible, unable to make a drink in your room, water pressure crap, it’s like time travel, booking a ruin the 60’s, the place is terrible, planning to move hotels first thing tomorrow, feeling very ripped off, never again.

Booked months ago, having stayed exactly 4 years ago. Was a bit concerned given some recent poor reviews, but have to report that the only difference was a lack of prosecco at breakfast. Hardly worth mentioning. It was my wife's birthday and last time they gave us a small cake. This time they provided 2 cakes, a bottle of Madeira wine and a basket of fruit! How kind is that? Room was clean and spacious, pool area inviting, and staff helpful and welcoming. Breakfast fine (despite the lack of sparking wine!) Well located near the old town and close to the sea and a couple of excellent beach bars as well as the 'yellow' fort, good for exploring. Gentle, but longish, road up from market area to the hotel.

Having stayed several times at this hotel we looked forward to our return trip. Location for the Old Town and its restaurants is ideal. Unfortunately it didn't live up to the past visits. The first room had a terrible aroma (sewage) and ripped bed sheets. After complaining we were offered another room which was in the older part of the hotel. This room was an improvement but lacked any air conditioning making it impossible to sleep. Another room move. This time at 3am.. We only stayed on b&b basis. The breakfast quality and selection has also deteriorated . I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning. Cliff Bay from now on - Fabulous

Worst 4* hotel we’ve ever stayed in Very few staff poorly trained and managed, poor food at breakfast hot food was luke warm, cold cooked meats and cheeses always room temperature.Our first and second room offered to us smelt of sewage which we rejected. Overall a really poor hotel for a 4* Only allocated 1 cup at breakfast per person which meant if a customer had coffee first they would have to ask for a clean cup in order to have tea or any other hot drink. WOULD NEVER STOP AT QUINTA BELA S TIAGO AGAIN

Fantastic location, clean room although with ants and mosquitos. Friendly reception but awful food. Breakfast poor, dinner uneatable - nothing like 4 stars. Stay in the hotel avoid older waiters- they are terrible and don't buy dinner. Many great restaurants close by. Great that the hotel has parking for rental car.

This is an absolute treasure of a place. I was so glad I didn’t let some poor reviews influence my decision to stay. I have had a wonderful break in this delightful, character, smaller hotel. Excellent, caring staff. Great location with amazing views. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else now and I didn’t want to come home.

When we got to the hotel they told us they had been overbooked since we made our booking. They had hoped for cancellations but were transferring us to their (unsuitable) sister hotel. The attitude of the staff was terrible with no explanation as to why they had taken our money for a room that was never available or why they hadn't told us before we left the UK. There was no consideration of our needs and requirements in selecting an alternative. It appeared that their sole aim was to fill their sister hotel
