Located in a classic art deco building in downtown Funchal, the Three House Hotel was an ideal combination of comfort, convenience and spacious accommodations. We spent two weeks at the Three House Hotel and had a wonderful stay. The staff and housekeeping team were professional and very friendly. From the rooftop pool area we had a great view of the harbor and the hotel itself was very convenient to old town Funchal where there seemed to be an infinite number of dining options. Overall, an excellent stay in a beautiful city on a fantastic island!

Well what can I say..... I'd read the reviews and picked Three houses based on those and the fact that it's in a great Funchal location and a 'boutique' hotel (offering apartments.) I don't often review but feel compelled to as we are (still here) having an amazing stay. The concept of an apartment hotel is great...there is a super restaurant if you wish, but equally the Three houses team are happy to make recommendations. Things which have exceeded my expectations; Housekeeping team - leave our apartment as new every day...lovely! Great help with things to do from reception team, including if you've hired a car...routes for the island with great tips for things to see provided, Also free parking , Great facilities in the apartment, Teams at hand via WhatsApp, Cute croissants every morning at your door, And the most amazing roof terrace for relaxing!!! Credit where it's due...fabulous!!!

I’m can’t say enough positive things about this small boutique hotel! The staff are absolutely amazing from the cleaning staff, Tania to the bar staff, Diana and Miguel and of course the lovely Margarida and Marcio and everyone who who works at Three House. The rooftop pool, bar and restaurant offer quality fresh food to the funky cocktails! This was my 2nd visit and each year it keeps getting better. They acknowledged my best friends birthday with a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates! It made her evening so special. Can’t wait to return in 2025.❤️🇵🇹

Great place to stay. Great response before we arrive. Staff recommended a car rental company that worked out great. They even came to hotel to pick up car. Staff is friendly , knowledgeable and very helpful. There’s a welcome fruit basket. A croissant or sourdough bread is complimentary each more. Beautiful pool and roof top bar. Great location to walk almost anywhere in Funchal. We would stay here again!

Excellent lunch, exceeded my high standards. Set three course Excellent value for money this is really more than a three course, as you are served wine ad well as coffee. Fantastic views good quality food, and friendly staff. Could not want for more

A very nice apartment hotel, spacious, clean ( cleaners everyday cleaning and changing towels soap etc ) apartment. Sidonio gave us a tour around the building and very informative, friendly and helpful. Close to seafront and restaurants, nice walk at the seafront. Hotel restaurant on 3rd floor opens Monday to Sun ( sunday only till 3pm ), but plenty of restaurants around to have dinner Sunday evening I like the fact that they provide every kitchen utensils you can think of, even a blender if you want to make a smoothie of your own choice, all of Smeg brand. And of course a coffee machine.

Liked the two bed apartment. Apartment was well furnished and ideal for a family of 4. Location to the city centre and sea front is great with the old town and abundance of restaurants. Roof top bar and pool were fantastic as were the views from the roof. Only downside was the road noise which due to the location and being on the main road into Funchal you could hear the traffic throughout the night. The rooftop bar does have DJ’s playing sets on different days on the rooftop bar and you can hear the bass and music into the early hours. Not ideal if you want an early night. Hotel probably better suited for couples rather than a family.

This boutique hotel is perfectly located and spacious and modern. It is designed to be more like a one bedroom apartment than a hotel room. The staff could not have been more accommodating taking pretty close to an hour to give us a tour of the building and all it had to offer when we checked in

Could not have had a better stay at Three House Hotel. The room is immaculate and super spacious, and guests have full access to amenities like a rooftop pool and full fitness centre. If you’re renting a car (which, as a tourist in Madeira you likely are), parking is free and secure in a lot beneath the building. Best of all was the service provided by Sid and Andre, who gave helpful recos and made sure we were taken care of. Easily the best hotel in the most central spot in Madeira - you can’t go wrong.
