Hotel czysty, przestronny, z PRZEPIĘKNYM ogrodem. Obsługa miła i sympatyczna. Duży wybór dań i naprawdę smaczne. Dobra lokalizacja - do ścisłego centrum spacer 20min lub 4 przystanki autobusem. Z czystym sumieniem POLECAM

Fajnie polozony kompleks hotelowy w pieknym, zadbanym ogrodzie z basenami, restauracjami i miejscami do wypoczynku- super zwlaszcza latem. Hotel jest polozony w miare blisko centrum, co ma znaczenie przy gorzystym terenie wyspy. Spacerkiem do centrum Funchal ( z gorki) jest ok 15-20 minut. Przystanek autobusu jest tuz obok hotelu. Sniadania smaczne, kazdy znajdzie cos dla siebie, rozne rodzaje pieczywa, pyszne swieze owoce. Uprzejma obsluga. W hotelu byly jakies wieczorne atrakcje ale nas nie interesowaly. Nasz pokoj z aneksem kuchennym ( studio) byl przestronny choc troche ciemny. ( mysle ze przez zadaszony balkon). Dwa polaczone wygodne lozka z wielkimi poduchami ( na szczescie byly tez dodatkowe mniejsze i bardziej plaskie:) Aneks kuchenny malutki-kuchenka na dwa palniki i zlew, czajnik, mala lodowka i szafka wiszaca z naczyniami. Na nasze potrzeby ( glownie robienie herbaty lub przechowanie jedzenia w lodowce) to wystarczalo. Lazienka czysta, wanna z prysznicem, bidet. Pokoj sprzatany codziennie ( lacznie z wymiana recznikow) Balkon ze stolikiem i 2 krzeslami z widokiem na baseny i ogrod, no i na Funchal i gory. Generalnie jestesmy bardzo zadowolone z pobytu i polecamy to miejsce i hotel. A Madera to wspaniala wyspa zwlaszcza dla milosnikow roslin i amatorow pieszych wedrowek- duzo tras- niesamowite widoki! Pogoda mocno wiosenna w marcu- czeste przelotne opady deszczu, przeplatane sloncem.

Looks lovely in pictures but in reality a dated unloved place. Centrally located but many steps and undulating pathways. Views are wonderful. Solemn staff. Expensive bars Unheated pool Gardens in need of a desperate tidy up and arborist !

Stayed for six nights in November 2023. Enjoyed my time very much. The extensive grounds really were a lovely tropical lush garden. My room was located on the -1 level. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. I booked a half board stay which entitled me to breakfast and a choice between lunch and dinner. Choosing dinner, I also had a choice between a daily themed buffet and three restaurants in the complex. Travelling alone, I decided to indulge in the nightly buffet. A few of the nights were better than others but overall I give the food a 7 out of 10. Desserts were minimal but adequate. Location was excellent. It was about a 25 minute easy walk to the centre of Funchal. Onsite there were two outdoor and one indoor swimming pools. I found the water temperature in the indoor pool quite cold and since it was only 23c, I didn't partake of the outdoor pools. I would certainly recommend a stay at the Pestana Village.

Beautifully clean hotel and lush grounds. We took the half board option and the food was very good. Room was spacious and well appointed. I like how the hotel did a review of our stay after a few days and asked how they could improve (I suggested that tea, coffee, milk would be useful- within a few hours we had 2 boxes of milk and lots of tea, coffee and sugar. Very friendly and helpful staff. I had a bad knee so used taxis to get into town (€5-6) but walkable if I had been fit. I especially liked the breakfast terrace.

The most relaxing hotel that is set amidst tropical gardens with beautiful flowers. It felt like a village with winding walkways and bridges over pools. We enjoyed exploring various routes around the complex. Breakfast buffet caters for all tastes and the evening meal can be buffet or book into A la Carte. The friendly staff made it feel like home. The rooms could be updated to have a shower instead of a shower over a bath. I hope the hotel mostly stays as it is which is cosy and friendly

Very nice and quiet atmosphere with a wonderful garden and gorgeous views by day and night. Very friendly service team and excellent food! Every evening unobstrusive live music - great singers! A big plus from our point of view is the buffet for breakfast AND dinner.

Loved this hotel. The Staff were excellent, especially Fabio and Jaoe Paulo on Reception and Manuel in the bar by the pool. The food was plentiful and good The bed was so comfortable too The gardens are excellent and a pleasure to walk around, very peaceful and relaxing

The hotel facilities were excellent. The hotel was well placed in Funchal and itwas easy to get into the centre. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our only negative comment is that bedroom, whilst kept very clean and tidy, really needed refreshing and updating.
